This hotel is somewhat old and not clean. Continental breakfast is terrible.

“Slightly overpriced, but a hotel I can count on”

I stay here about once per month on average. Tried a few others in the area, but was disappointed each time. The continental breakfast variety leaves much to be desired, but it isn't that important to me anyway. Restaurants are very close by, as is the freeway, somewhat of an annoyance when windows are open. All in all, a very decent hotel for the money. Very clean and tidy.

“Fine place for a quick trip to Bakersfield.”

The room was as reserved on Expedia, Room was large and comfortable although not quite a "suite". Only gripe was that the WiFi internet was so slow that it reminded me of 1200 baud dialup!

Decent place, but getting old. super slow internet, when I called the desk he said it was due to high volume. HBO was in Spanish the whole night I was there. Pillows were substandard, and there were crusty stains on the carpet around the foot of the bed (yikes)...so the place needed steam cleaning. Coffee maker had no pot, just the coffee maker part. All in all it was average at best, and not worth what they charged. But the people working there are incredibly nice and courteous, which helped me feel better about my stay. I'll try a place more modern next time.

“Very disappointing!”

Run-down and grubby. A big disappointment at a premium price for the Bakersfield area. We thought that the higher price, relative to comps in the area, would translate into superior accommodation. Not so. A high price is no assurance of quality.

“Large rooms”

The suites here are large. I stayed here when I was moving to Bakersfield and I needed a home base. There is a beer vending machine in the lobby which is nice. There are also a bunch of restaurants near by, including a Sizzler. This is a good travel stop. The continental breakfast was average. My only complaint was that the staff prevented me from bringing my continental breakfast to my room.

“Liked the hotel”

I was surprised at the quality for such a little price. It was a wonderful room, located just off the pool, though I only saw one family in it the two days I was there. The breakfast room was adequate to get the day going. Staff was terrific, although I didn't really have any questions for them. One complaint that has nothing to do with the hotel is that the Crystal Palace was not open on Labor Day.
