“Very nice comfortable and convenient”

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The facilities are convenient and appeared to be clean. The maintenance was lacking on a major access door and our bathroom sink had reversed hot and cold water. Overall, we had a good stay.

Area recommendations

This hotel is convenient to all major shopping and eating facilities. Entertainment is close by also.

“Convenient to freeway, was able to get a room on the same day.”

Disappointed with the mattress and sheets. Mattress was saggy and sheets were very thin, not good quality.

“Clean, comfortable, great value.”

My husband and I take business trips to Bakersfield several times each year. The Hilton is the best hotel out of all the hotels we've tried. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Getting around

Our car lost a couple of belts on the last trip, and there was a mechanic less than a block away from the hotel who was able to repair the car and get us on the road the same morning at a reasonable price.

“Great location/ Breakfast Extra”

We really enjoyed this Hilton last year for our Thanksgiving weekend while visiting the family returned for second year. The location is convenient off freeway (Hwy 99)and there is plenty of parking. The Breakfast is not included with the minimum room charge. But there is coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator in room. Handy for snacks and drinks. Room very well appointed. Also, located near Costco for longer stays. We ate with family all weekend so had no need to go out. Crystal Palace nearby - pricey but food good. Great music on weekend $5 cover. Did not eat at Hotel so unsure of Breakfast. No dinner available during our stay.

Area recommendations

This is a great location. A couple restaurants nearby. Quick access to old downtown. New cross town road nearby for easy access to other parts of town.

“Very happy, exceeded our expectations”

We were very happy with this hotel and would recommend It to any friends traveling through Bakersfield. The only 2 slightly negative points were the pillows were a little flat, and they didn't have room service or the restaurant open for dinner. The staff were very helpful and gave us menus of local Places that would deliver. Overall the room was very clean and comfy, I would stay there again.

“Great Stay”

We stay the night in Bakersfield whenever we go to the hockey games. First time ever in a Hilton. We have stayed in three out of the five hotels in this area and this one was the best so far. Traveled with kids 11 and 7. There is a John's incredible pizza within walking with plenty of activities for the kids and other nice places to eat all right there. There is easy gas nearby, easy dinning options and easy access to and from. No continental breakfast, but there is a restaurant for breakfast and dinner if you don't want to leave. Very clean room and bathroom. Check-in/out was hassle free. Plenty of well lit parking spots.

“Worth the price!”

The adjustable comfort bed sold me forever on Hilton Garden Inn!! Only drawback: I felt the cable channel selection could be more girl-friendly; add E! or Style or Lifetime pls. Everything else was perfect!
