“Had to argue to get what I paid for”
Had booked a smoking room and was told one was not available on arrival and after my wife complained to manager that we wanted what we had booked and paid for he finally ordered staff to clean the room for us suit would seem that the non availability was down to room not being cleaned against not available...to be fair the manager promised one would be available for us on our return journey but we stayed over in Las Vegas and accepted the loss of our next visit cash wise. The mangers original attitude was well you booked with Expedia and not direct (probably paying more ) so so you get the left overs ....not my experience in other parts of USA ( I am from United Kingdom)...Whether or not anyone likes smoking or not is not the issue....if they offer it...if you book it and pay for it you should get it a contract is a contract
“never again !”
Reservation for 2 persons, they would only give me one key. No wi-fi in room, needed network cable but they don't have any to use, I had to go buy one. Access gate to breaseway broken, had to walk around building to get to room. I had broken a rib a few days before my stay, so I asked for a downstairs room, they weren't able to help me nor did they seem concerned with helping me. Bar in the back had a very large party and along with 4 large buses in lot, there was no parking, had to park on street. Goin' back to Super 8 !
“The worst I have ever stayed at”
Unhelpful staff. Doors not marked to show how to get to your room. Outside doors jammed shut, had to walk around the building to a door on the opposite side of the building to get in. Sliding glass door in the room bolted shut even though my car was within 25 feet of the room I had to walk 300 feet to get to it. The refrigerator and microwave both unplugged so the refrig was useless. The wi-fi did not work but the Ramada next door had wi-fi that did. This all came to light within the first 30 minutes being there. AND it was only the beginning of the disappointment. I always thought that Days Inn was a good place to stay. I am sorry I stayed at this one. Oh, also, we were in back of a bowling alley and in the same parking lot that had high intensity security lights shining right into the room. Even the blackout curtain could not block all of the light.
“Our 1-Night Stay at Days Inn Was Good”
In the morning of July 4, 2011 my wife, myself & our 2 kids left Las Vegas for our trip to San Francisco with a stopover in Bakersfield. We drove 294 miles & reached Bakersfield at 1:30 PM. We were tired & hungry and it was very hot. After a quick lunch we went to Days Inn to check in early. The desk clerk saw us looking tired & feeling hot so she gave us a room. I also read from reviews there's a bowling hall in the back so she gave us a quiet room away from the hall. That was very kind of her. We rested & watched TV but inside the room was very hot. It was cooler inside the car so we went out to see the town. We had a good Chinese buffet dinner which was very good but the price was a little bit more expensive than in Las Vegas. There are lots of restaurants nearby. We went back to the hotel but the room was still hot. I called the same lady & she gave us another room without any hassle. However, we didn't sleep well because the room was also hot so it must have been the weather. We heard fireworks during the night but it didn't last long. Except for the weather our stopover at the Days Inn was very good. The AC's must have been working properly, the TV worked well & so was the small refrigerator. The rooms were clean & neat and there were extra pillows in the closet & lots of towel for the 4 of us. The free breakfast was not bad. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and thoughtful. Thank you very much, lady.
“Good Value for $$”
For the price, it was a very good hotel. Free breakfast was also nice. The room had a bit of an odor, but was clean which was very important. Front desk service was very nice.
“Terrible”
The first room was not cleaned up, the second had lots of ants on the floor, the third was noicy from the street and a disco in the neighbourhood.
“Good place to stay”
The check in was very easy and as I requested, I got the room on the bottom floor. I was pleased to see the parking was very near my room. The location was quiet even though it was near the Freeway . We were very near restaurants; booking through Expedia was simple and made the check in and check out very easy. The price was great and only added to our enjoyable weekend.
“Great customer service”
They move me to accomodate my wi-fi
“Worth the price”
Hotel staff were very helpful . Room (inner courtyard) was quiet and comfortable with a fridge and microwave. The room keys worked well (unlike the plastic cards you get elsewhere) Enjoyed making waffles for breakfast. Other restaurants within easy walking distance. Hot tub was great. Things I noticed which didn't affect my stay...so who cares, Pool was too cold to swim in...it was March - but the pool sweep wasn't doing a very good job. No hair conditioner available and pool towels were tiny. Carpeting in the corridor was grubby. But I got to relax in the hot tub, slept well and had a good breakfast -all for for a cheap price. Friends in another room complained about low pressure in their shower and a lack of hot water. We had no problem but it might be worth asking about your room. (Our friends asked to be close to us and it was the last room left. Their fridge and microwave were small compared to ours)
“GOOD”
It was an ok stay the hotel was great, other then dirty carpet. We had a 1 year old with us and he walked around barefoot and his little feet were quite dirty after that.
