“Nasty!”

Dirty, Smelled like sewer. We were way in the back of the building, entrance from outside to get in room. Parking was tight and we did not fill secure. The door of the room had clearly been broke into. The really sad thing is we have to find a place to stay on our return trip home. I would rather sleep in the car . We didn't even get undressed or use the shower.

“Infested with earwigs”

My husband and I had stayed in the hotel earlier this year when travelling for our business. The last time, the room was adequate for the price. This time, our room was infested with earwigs. They were crawling out of a vent in the wall and were all over the walls, ceiling, and in the bed. Very unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel or ever stay here again.

“Not Impressed”

The grounds and landscaping was beautiful. The room sadly had many problems. The two children ( ages 4 & 5 ) with us found several items on the floor left from previous quests. They also were able to reach one of the two mouse traps left in the room! The bed had no blankets on it the first night. One of the beds had earwigs in it an had flightless bugs in the sheets. Tjhe tub drained very slowly. We had a smoking room which fine, but everything in the room, including bedding and towels smelled of nicotine. On our second night we left breifly and when we returned we had no where to park. I parked outside the registration lobby, which is where my car had to stay. This was not close to our room.

“cock roaches and toilets that don't work”

My sister and I rented a room here to visit a family member in a local hospital. We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night and were appalled to find cock roaches in our hotel room and to top it off, the toilet would not flush without taking the lid off and doing it manually. We will not be going back.

“a bad experience”

First room was like a cave on the alley. Requested a poolside view. The room was alright except the slider facing pool only had one screw holding the security latch. The door also had a gap at the top. A stranger opened our door with his key. Scared both of us. Thank goodness chain was on. They did credit us 10% off for the mix up. Then our room key would not work on both days of our stay. No full time coffee shop. Not a good area to walk around in.

The hotel and restaurant was just right. The outdoor quad area where the pool is found was beautiful. Thank you so much.

We found the Best Western Crystal Palace Inn to be very comfortable and clean. The beds were excellent and the complimentary breakfast delicious. I would stay here again if I need to travel to Bakersfield. Staff very friendly. For an older hotel, this was very nice.

The stay at the Best Western Crystal Palace Inn in Bakersfield, California will be most memorable . Parking in relation to the location to the room is very convenient. A good breakfast at the Best Western's Restaurant is included. The grounds are very beautiful. When in Bakersfield again for any reason, we will make this place a repeat stop.
