“Overnite at Bahrain Airport”
Nothing wrong with the hotel except the very high price and a further requirement of £20/day for the internet. For the price it should be in the package.
“Many added costs”
I have stayed at the Movenpick Bahrain many times and while it is a really nice hotel it is a bit annoying that they charge for almost anything and charge quite a lot. My room rate was high and then you have to add £20 a day for breakfast and £20 for internet. Especially the internet charge is a bit hard to swallow since this is free in most other hotels in the Gulf. The infinitey pool is abosulutely georgeous. I had a Friday off when I visited the hotel and found it difficult to get a sun lounger around the pool due to many lunch guests/gym members using the pool. This is dissapointing especially in the light of the high rate I paid at the hotel find that non-guest are occupying all the sun loungers.
“Convenient Location to Airport”
Wonderfully facility and convenient location if your travel plans involve departure/arrival from the Bahrain airport, especially if travelling from Saudi Arabia.
“Over priced”
The hotel is conveniently located just outside the Bahrain International Airport. If you plan to make a transit or a short hop in Bahrain, this hotel would be a good option if you can afford it. The hotel is over priced for the room & services rendered but that's what they expect you to pay for the conveniences. If you require airport pickup, you can arrange that directly with the hotel for 3 Dinar or 8 USD. The ride to the hotel is about 3 minutes.
“Convenient location in Bahrain”
Reasonably priced for the location, excellent amenities and service.
“Excellent for short and business trips”
The location of this hotel is so convenient. It is 1 minute away from the airport yet you can't hear any planes landing or departing. However, the only thing that you would suffer from is transportation; there are no taxi's or any other means of transportation to city center. Sometimes you have to wait for 30-40 mins to get a taxi as they don't have this facility in the hotel except to the airport.
“Best Stay in Bahrain”
I have stayed in many hotels through out the years travelling to Bahrain. I never thought that an airport hotel could be that good. Everything in the hotel was up to standard.Food at the restaurant was very tasty and lots of variety. There is one thing I did not like and complained about is the charge for using WIFI. The hotel charges 5 BD ($15) PER HOUR!!! This is outrageous. Since this IS a buisness hotel, I do not see it is just to charge for using internet to download emails. Staff's reply was "all hotels in Bahrain charge for Internet usage". I wish they had not said that because that made me furious. If the managment want to stand out, they should not be like "all other hotels in Bahrain", besides the cost of Internet to the hotel in minimal and should be waived. Oh, I should mention, they do give you a voucher for one time use for up to an hour, but they make you use their coffee shop and it is not valid in your room, so you end up finding businessmen at the coffee shop with their laptops, which is not professional nor convenient. Other than that, I will go back and do recomment the hotel to all business travellers.
