“The perfect business hotel for Bahraini travelers”

After reading the reviews here and elsewhere, I was expecting a slightly grungy and perhaps seedy spot. That was not the case at all. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and everyone was polite and prompt. The second floor bar is not the most happening spot in town (think Karaoke and depressed expats), but for that you can go to the Ritz. This is not a glamorous place, but it's perfect for a business traveler. (The wireless is not free, btw, it costs about $100 for a weekly pass, but it was reliable and fast.)

“In The Heart of the Action”

Hello Travelers, I have stayed in many hotels and although i prefer 5 star hotels. I like Merucre because of it has a small balcony to sit out and enjoy a drink. It is centrally located a stones throw away from the mall, great restuants, and other nice hotels to go to soak up an ecclectic mix of atmospheres. Like Brushuda, The Ritz, Trader Vics, City Mall and Seef amd Marina Mall. You can easily walk to any of these locations. Nice big tub in the Mercure as well as a lovely rain shower. I loke having a refrigerator seperate from the mini bar. Each room has a microwave to warm uo those left overs. Nice Room Enjoy!

“Great hotel for the money!”

The Mercure is a great hotel for the money. The suites are very large and nicely designed. As a woman, it would have been nice to have better lighting in the bathroom. The lighting needs to be stronger. I was quite impressed with most of the staff as they went out of their way to ensure my comfort and they LOVE Americans, which was nice. The location is right next to Seef Mall and there are great restaurants within walking distance. I would much rather stay at the Mercure over the Ritz and would stay there again when I visit Bahrain.

“Mercure Grand Seef”

Upon check in we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite which was a much appreciated surprise. The rooms were nicely furnished and very clean. Staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with lots of options. We normally stay at a different hotel when we visit Bahrain for the weekend, but when rooms were not available, we decided to try Mercure Grand Hotel. I am glad we did and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

“Superb Rooms”

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Mercure Grand Seef. The rooms were large, well furnished, sparking clean and comfortable. Good location as it is next to the big SEEF Shopping Mall. My only gripe is one particular Reception Manager. Everyday she kept saying that they did not any info from Expedia that I paid for my stay. I even had to bring my laptop to the reception counter to show the Expedia acknowledgement letter. She spoilt my stay.

“good for business meeting in seef area”

we spent 3 days at seef as majority of our meetings were in that area. it is a good alternative to ritz carlton. while hotel is a bit isolated given its orientation facing the highway rather than the new malls behind it, it is great to be able to walk around the corner for decent meals (french, italian, asian fusion - even japanese, but we didn't try that). the pool and fitness center are adequate. decent breakfast buffet spread.
