Eid Stay

Posted 05-Aug-2014
Pros: Bathroom, housekeeping and room condition.
Cons: Accomodate the families with children in seperate floors.
Location: Great location adjasent to City Center, shopping, and food.
The location of the hotel is amazing, yet it is a family hotel that accomodates lots of familites with children. The room wall was thin, so we heard the children cry and the phone ring in the rooms next to us. The bathroom was amazing. Housekeeping as well.

Nice Hotel...

Posted 11-May-2014
Pros: Inside the mall and near other mall and restaurants... staff were excellent... clean rooms...
Cons: their attention to the clients and they should have a better policy taking care of problems...
Location: excellent location...
The hotel was very nice and clean, and it was great the fact that it was directly opens to City Center Mall. Liked the fact that alot of the staff were Bahraini because they were very kind and always smiling and one time i needed to go somewhere which they didn't know it they called around and asked so they can tell where it is... The one thing i didn't like is that the roof in our bathroom opened and nearly fell on my wife's head, they just came and fixed it, i didn't really feel the warmth of their apology, they just called me and asked if it was fixed and thats it... i think a hotel should be more attentive to its clients...

Good stay but not five star quality

Posted 01-Jan-2014
Pros: Location
Location: Location is a major plus and certainly gives it a boost in the hotels overall rating. It is physically connected to City Center Mall.
Rooms are nice. I had a great view of the Arabian Sea. However the bathroom sink and toilet was still dirty from the last customer. I called housekeeping/front desk but nothing was ever done about it. No hot water, best temp out of the shower was warm, just warm enough to prevent shivering and certainly not warm enough to take a bath in a tub. Breakfast buffet was just ok, for nearly $30 one would have higher expectations, at least I did. Customer service at the front desk was very helpful and kind. When I relayed the above experience they were very apologetic. All in all, of all the five star hotels I have stay at around the world this one just do not rate five stars in my book.

Stayed at Ixir and not at the Grand

Posted 07-Dec-2013
Pros: Loved that we made it to the Tree Lighting ceremony to start the festive season
Cons: How to advise that we are being offered a room at the Ixir side as opposed to the Grand side when we book on Expedia.
Location: Attached to the City Centre Mall makes this place very convenient for families and shoppers.
This time around we stayed at the Ixir side and not the Grand side of the hotel. The difference is only in the decor of the hotel. I much prefer the Grand's Christmas side decor to the more subdued decor of the Ixir. Grand is more family oriented in its decorations. Aside from that both hotels have awesome staff, great personal relation skills and very comfy rooms.
