“Al Safir Apartments”

I stayed with my wife and two kids. I was extremely surprised to find how nice everything was. The room size was large and hotel staff was very helpful. The breakfast didnt offer a large selection, but wasnt bad either. The rooms stayed cold and since it was in Bahrain, that was a good thing. There's a benningans downstairs and a large selection of places to eat in the surrounding area. Very well kept and would suggest this to place to anyone looking to travel to Bahrain.

Area recommendations

manama is a safe and clean area to stay. Bahrains small so everything would be close anyway.

Getting around

In Bahrain, there are plenty of Taxis to take you places. The driving is alot safer than anywhere else in the middle east. Before you get in a taxi, ask the drivers around how much it will cost and ask if they will be adding additonal money to the meter.

“The worst hotel I ever stayed at”

Hotel service was very poor. Hotel tried to charge me almost $100 at checkin to allow my 2 children under 12 to stay. Breakfast was also very poor where they failed to top up food. Would not recommend at all.

“Average hotel quite a way from action”

Modern hotel but quite distant from city centre eating and nightlife. A must to get taxi and you can wait quite a while after the hotel calls it. Rooms were spacious, breakfast quite good. Pool is in shade from noon. Bar quite intimate. Left some property behind that they were unable to locate. My carelessness.

“Dissatisfied Customer”

We requested to be moved to the building with the spa, gym and pool but the bathroom was so small you had to turn sideways to use the bathroom. They made me feel like i was not welcome at the hotel. They blamed you for misleading advertising because on the internet it listed 2 queen size beds but they claim they do not have any queen size beds.

Area recommendations

I cannot recommend anything. I was mislead to believe everything opened up after sunset, but everything was closed down until after Eid

Never go during Ramadan.

“Best quality for price”

the suite is very spacious and clean. Service is excellent. Breakfast is great. Other entertainment facilities like Bar and night shows a definite plus. The hotel is also well situated and with easy access to Exhibition Road and other attraction areas.

“Het Al Safir Hotel prima hotel qua ligging centraal in Manama”

Prima hotel met ruime kamers, goede service en goede keuken. Het personeel was zeer behulpzaam. Ook roomservice was prima. De ligging is centraal, binnen 10 minuten ben je zowel in het centrum als op het vliegveld. Een klein minpuntje:er was geen taxistandplaats bij het hotel was, maar het receptiepersoneel had altijd binnen 10 minuten een taxi besteld. Naast het hotel ligt een internetcafe dat 24uur per dag geopend is.

Area recommendations

Een aanrader de Bab Al Bahrain, de goudsouk en de gewone souk. Huur een auto en ontdek het eiland. Er zijn nog veel historische dites, zoals de grafheuvels, de oude forten en het geboorte huis van sjeiks. Ook de kamelenfarm is leuk te bezoeken. Je hebt het formule 1 circuit, waar je zelf ook kunt racen. Je kunt ook een woestijnrace houden op een quad of in een 4-wheeldrive.
