I chose this hotel as it was easy walking distance from the Opera House and wasn't, unlike the ones in immediate vicinity, extortionately expensive. On the whole I would recommend it. However there are some minuses :
1) Frustuck is ludicrously costly at 32€
2) The main bar is a smoking bar. The cocktails are excellent though if you don't mind the smoke
3) The last point is going to sound disproportionately petty. But the plu in the bathroom basin does not close making it impossible to wash or, most particularly, shave without resorting to diy plug hold blocking. When I queried a member of staff I was informed that it wasn't broken - that was how it was. Simply unacceptable in a hotel at this level
Despite this annoyance I would still recommend Roomers, especially for opera goers
This was an outstanding experience. I've stayed in many Frankfurt hotels including the Westin (quite nice) and Intercontinental (decent). The Adina beats them all hands down.
My only real complaint is that the internet in the rooms should be free. I'd have to work hard to find any other complaint, but if I had one it would be the bed. The size and covers were quite fine, but the firmness and/or pillows didn't suit my back perfectly. That's a very personal thing, though. Maybe you'll love it.
Laundry in the room was a huge plus. We used the fridge, but not the rest of the kitchen. The bathroom was large and nice. The location is great (quick walk to Willy Brant subway, but still short enough to walk to the main train station), everything was spic and span and the breakfast was fantastic. Even paying the extra few euro for WiFi in the room, its worth it.
The customer service could not be better, loved the front desk staff, they were so helpful. Good location, but taking a wrong turn at the wrong time of the day good be a bit dodgy and it is pretty close to the red-light district. The only draw back is that there were no TV channels that were not German speaking and it would have been nice to get news channels in other languages especially English. Food at the restaurant was very good - although make sure to make a reservation as they tend to book up.
The location of this Hotel is excellent for those travelling by train, as it is only a couple of hundred metres from the train Station. Beware though that there are a lot of homeless and drunk people in the area, though they did not cause us any major issues.
The hotel room is tiny, however that seems to be true for many hotels in Europe. Despite the size of the room, it was comfortable and I would have been happy to stay longer. The staff at the hotel were amazing, particularly Erika. We also appreciated the little Easter bunny eggs that were awaiting us in our room upon check-in!
Also, get the breakfast if you can - it is delicious, with a great range and excellent value.
The location was perfect. Reviews had indicated hotel was in close proximity to red light district. However, this is not an issue. I am a single, older woman and I felt perfectly safe. I booked a standard room with a single bed. It was small and well designed. Refurbished bathroom was clean and well stocked with soaps. Great buffet breakfast. David at reception very helpful. The little bar is a great addition, especially for a single woman who may not feel so comfortable going into a bar for a drink. Welcoming fruit platter and note from manager a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Rooms are not sound proved :(
You can hear person next door talking on the phone, listening to music and romantic affairs.
On the top of all this you can even hear next room doors opening and closing.
Not good experience at all.
Please sound prove the rooms at once.
