This is the worst experience we had. The "hotel" is actually worst than hostel. The sheets in rooms are dirty, the rooms themselves are old and desolate. The worst thing are bathrooms - there is a toilet and a shower in the form of a tube sticking out of the wall. The whole floor and toilet seat are all wet after somebody takes a shower, because this "shower" is not separated from the rest of the bathroom. I suspect that the good reviews here are fake. The "hotel" does not look like the pictures - I think there must have been a lot of editing on these pictures. And the picture of the bathroom is just a plain fake. We just decided to find something else for the night and did not ask for the money back, because we don't know any Spanish and we did not want to argue with the guy on reception. He did not look very surprised when we turned our key in and checked out either. I suspect that it happens a lot of times, that people just go to another hotel or hostel the very same day when they check in.

I really enjoy the hotel howevever the rooms were a little bit too small. I love the decoration and so typical of Buenos Aires. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Other detail that I was disappointed thewater in the hot tub in the patio was dirty. They should have a cover like we do here in USA.

Rooney's Boutique Hotel is very romantic. The building is about 160 years old and the rooms reflect that time period. High ceilings, tall doors, old style elevator, take you back to yesteryear. We could only stay two days but would have liked to stay longer.
Nice clean and modern room, great breakfast buffet included in the price. The hotel location is very good, across the street from the Abasto Shopping Mall, and a few minutes away from downtown BA by subway. The subway entrance is just a few steps away from the hotel. A few niceties include an in-room safe and wall outlets that take American-style plugs for appliances capable of using 220V (e.g., iPod or laptop chargers).
Because of the old style, the room is very small. But anything that you asked to do, the hotel staffs knows the best solution. I went to a River Plate games and they even arranged a ticket and bus to go. We won. River a campion!
