“Substandard crib”
If you ask for a crib, don't expect to get anything your baby can actually sleep in. We received a portable play pen that had a extremely uneven floor and a piece of 1 inch foam with a fitted sheet for a mattress. The "mattress" was smaller than the cribs interior. It was just ridiculous.
“Great place to stay”
This is a great place to stay. Rooms were immaculate, service was excellent and the facilities are great. They do charge for Internet access and wi-fi.
“No Rennaissance Here”
For a hotel as expensive as the Rennaissance, I was very dissappointed. The room was average; nothing special. The beds were uncomfortable and you either slept under a thin sheet (not enough), or a sheet and comforter (too much). No blankets provided. I could get as nice a room elsewhere for less than half the price.
“It was nice but...”
It was a nice hotel but could be cleaner. I don't think they vacuumed my room because my toddler kept finding stuff on the floor. It didn't seem like they wiped the surfaces and door knobs down either. I'm glad I had sani wipes with me because the doorknobs to the bathroom were bumpy and covered in something. My tub filled up with water during my short shower and the drain stopper in the sink was broken. The sheets seemed fresh and crisp. The bed was hard but somehow comfortable and the pillows were really nice. I really liked the Aveda products too. The carpet in the hall needed to be vacuumed really bad. Overall I was happy with my stay and would stay there again.
“Highly Recommended”
We wanted to stay in Austin for a girls weekend. I was amazed when I arrived here that the service was the same caliber as the Four Seasons at half the price. It was not crowed. Yes, they have pink tile in the bathrooms, so not the newest designer colors, but all was perfect. I could not believe that the place was not packed. It had outdoor, indoor pool, spa, nice excercise room, and best feature was trained staff. Little touches such as cold wash clothes in gym means you have management that cares. The only knock I would say was the quality of food was average, but the service was great. If you want a great place with great service to stay would say this is a winner
“We will be staying there again!”
The hotel was really nice and the area is amazing. The staff was super friendly and they treated us and our dog with special care. I love that the hotel is pet friendly and the rooms are so spacious! We will definitely stay there again the next time we visit the Austin area!
“very nice!”
Air conditioning was stuffy and the room was too humid but other than that it was very nice. All the employees were wonderful.
“A great hotel to spend the night(s)!”
The entire staff was very friendly, more than willing to help or accomodate with the customers, and they did so with a positive attitude and a prompt demeanor. The building itself is very pretty upon entering, and the rooms are equally elegant and clean. I would strongly recommend staying here for anyone wanting a little luxury while they lounge. Also, their complementary shampoo and conditioner both smelled great!
“Almost perfect”
The atmosphere was lovely as were the ammenities. The location was terrific! Everything we wanted to do was right there and there was no need to go anywhere very far to eat or enjoy a movie. Our family with 2 teens liked this hotel, except that the air conditioning didn't work well in the room. We were warm which is unpleasant and unusual for March.
“Needs updating”
The room was in overall good condition, however, the bathroom really needed updating. The ventilation in the bathroom was not good, shower curtain was old, towels were old, and paint needed freshening. Housekeeping was timely and very good. The room did not have a refrigerator, which was inconvenient. The lobby of the hotel is quite impressive, and the restaurant serves excellent breakfasts. The hotel is very convenient to good shopping and restaurants and is located in a nice area of Austin. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.
