“Not an Airport Hotel”

25 euro cab ride to get there, no services open on site and nothing open in the neighborhood. Expensive breakfast. Room was ok. 20 euros for the hotel shuttle back. Expensive and little to recommend it. Look elsewhere.

“Not Impressed”

No phone in the room, front dek clerk , just said " I don't know why" asked twice but never recieved a phone. One of the pillows on the bed was the size of a Baseball cap, totally useless. the reservation said breakfest included but it was not.

“great hotel to stay near Munich airport”

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood , well kept, friendly staff . next to the hotel was a very good resturaunt . Very convenient place to stay near the airport about 10 minutes away. Beds were comfortable. Pricing is very reasonable.

“A good value”

The room was quite spacious with all the ammenities one would expect from a hotel of this quality. It was a real bargain too. Keep in mind that when you book a bargain room, the hotel usually gives you the less desirable rooms. Our room was on the ground floor and faced the main entrance. Since it was warm, we had to keep the windows open. Thus, we heard people coming and going. It was not a big deal and with the savings, it was worth it. There were also some good resturant choices for dinner adjacent to the property. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon and worst, not something that normally comes with a German breakfast. A great finish to the stay.

“convenient, clean, reasonable, friendly, great breakfast, will stay there again.”

I was very pleased with the Hotel. 5min from the airport which is great after a long flight. Incredible low price for a 5star Hotel during the week (I assume because it was a Tuesday). Will stay there again in 6month with my family.

“Mercure Munich Airport Hotel -- cheap and worth it”

As stated above, this hotel meets basic requirements, but that is about it. It has a bizarre layout that forces you to drop your bags off at the front, then park two doors down the road at a restaurant. This restaurant is connected via underground walkway to the hotel, but this is all closed in the early morning when you're leaving to catch your flight, so you have to walk down the road outside to get your car, drive to the hotel, load your bags, etc. Just not a convenient or thoughtful layout from the guest's perspective. There is a good pizza restaurant next door, which is a much better value than the "diving"-themed restaurant owned by the hotel. I will not stay at this hotel again.

“Not good”

First day we checkedin at 10:30PM, the heating system was off so we turned on and fall asleep. after 2-3 hrs i woke up and see that the room was freezing so i called the reception and they told me that they can change the room but it would be very hard for me. So they send a mobile heater. The location is 20-25 minutes away from the airport and the shuttle service is not free.(20 euros as far as i remember)

“Not what they advertised.”

The room was exceptionally clean, and the bathroom was nice. The internet is €25 per day. Thats ludicrous. I have a roaming agreement through SFR and they blocked it. At least buy the T-Mobile pass for €29 for a month when you get there. The pool and the "Dive Bar" makes the lower level smell like someone died. Made me sick walking to the room and through the labyrinth from the parking lot. The fitness room is an absolute joke. Couldn't even find the light switch. Free Breakfast? Something like €20. Parking is on the side of the road or around by the bar. Nowhere near Munich, A 45 minute S-Bahn ride to where you need to drive 30 more minutes to get to the hotel. Nowhere near the airport either. Not worth the price I paid. I expected at least a reasonable distance, even a reasonable walk to the S Bahn. It is in a beautiful location. Its a clean HOTEL. Everything else needs work.

Area recommendations

Marienplatz, even staying in Erding would be good. That way its walking distance to the S Bahn.

Traveller's tip

Rent a car and drive on the Autobahn. The best way to see a lot of Germany. Erding is a great little train on the S2 line that goes straight into Marienplatz (City Center)
