“Dissappointed”
The toilet and shower were very smelly and no extration fan or if there was it wasn't working. On our second day in the motel there was no replacement shampoo, conditioner or body wash. Will not be recomeeding or staying there again.
“Decent modern hotel”
Quality modern hotel in central Auckland. Very clean with friendly staff. Cosy little breakfast area efficiently run. Free wifi. Bed was too soft for me, but that's personal preference.
“Good value”
Well priced. The bathroom is microscopic though adequate. Good location near the university but the walk back up the hill from the city centre would be too challenging for anyone with mobility problems. Fortunately there is a regular bus service - 7044 from the Queen St entrance to Britomart - 50c fare.
“Quadrant Auckland”
Overall not a 4 star hotel in any way, shape or form. Very slow check in , 20 minutes with only 2 people in front of us both at the check in desk. 45 minutes to get room ready afterwards. Condition of hotel was very unkept, dirt carpets, tears in the elevator panels, scuffed walls and casing. Staff not very interested in engaging patrons, and would not relocate us to handle noisy guests above us. It is right accross from the University and has a fair amount of students staying long term. Close to downtown and the ferry, however I would recommend staying in Parnel or NewMarket for more local flavor dining and shopping. Cheers.
“Great room!”
Enjoyed my stay! The only sore point was the shower. Poor water pressure and incosistent temperature. The view from my room was fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful. I will be back! I hope the shower works better next time.
“Good hotel”
Very central and close to the city (5 minute walk down the hill) The Quadrant was a good hotel to stay in. The room, although a 1 bedroom apartment it was 'crowded' and the bathroom was small but it had big windows that opened out to a small terrace which did make the room feel bigger. The kitchen was basic but there is a restaurant in the hotel. The free internet was great but the valet parking a little pricey.
“will be pleased to come back any time.”
No bad comments. Rooms are fairly small, but everything was really fresh, and lacked nothing, and the beds were VERY comfortable. Only small niggle was when we left, waiting for our car took 25 minutes, but check out was 11 oclock, and we all seemed to be exiting at that time, which caused the wait - so all in all, a great hotel.
“Finally found a great hotel”
I finally found in expedia a hotel worth writing about. I loved the service, area, and comfort of my room. Hotel is in a great area and the front desk people are friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is wonderful close to everything. I will definite stay here again when I go back to New Zealand.
“time well spent”
the hotel was situated well within walking distance of everything. the hill that the hotel stood ontop of was a bit of a hike, but game an awesome view of the city from the room. would definately stay there again
“easy stay”
Good allround hotel only problem is one bathroom for two adults and two children.
