“Right for the Price”

Feel like partying in Atlantic City, but don't want to pay ridiculous amounts of money on a room that you are probably only going to be pre-gaming, sleeping, and perhaps doing one or two "other" things in. Why bother wasting hundreds and hundreds of dollars on one of the high-profile hotels when you could spend your night here and save a few hundred dollars; then, you would be able to spend a considerably greater amount of money on drinking, gambling, clubbing, or doing whatever else may entice your curiosity. For the price I payed here, I cannot complain. I reserved my room over the phone with Expedia, got to the hotel, and was handed my key within a couple of minutes. Before I knew it, I was drinking in the room, partying at the Harrah's pool party, and returning to the Travelodge. They even extended our checkout time from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. to give us more time to prepare for our departure. Great hotel. Friendly employees. Save money. Overall: Convenient.

Getting around
Taxis and Jitneys are superfluous; there is no need to worry about getting around the city from the hotel.

“not bad for the money spent”

Excellent location....the rooms were not bad, little dirty, lots of flies..yes flies, they didnt bother you they were little. we noticed the problem outside the door in the morng when we went to check out, might be because of the ocean and they were getting in. Bed was not bad at all, actually slept well. Not bad for the location and the money spent. for one night it was good enough for us!

“Please don't stay!”

I am not a hotel snob at all. A clean place to sleep is all I need... you will not get this here. The room was gross. I was afraid I was going to end up bringing home bedbugs or something. The towels in the bathroom were not clean. Not only did they look dingy, they smelled as if they had been used. It was disgusting. If I could have afforded to throw away the money I spent on the room, I would have left and booked somewhere else. I don't mind "no frills," but this was really a bad room. I stayed at the Super 8 a couple of years ago; it's a similar price but a much nicer room. I really regret not staying there in the first place (I wanted to be closer to the House of Blues). Seriously, I felt like the reviews on Expedia made this place seem ok, but it's not. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

“You get what you pay for”

This hotel is very raggedy, nothing is up to date. It has no curb appeal and sticks out like an eye sore. We didn't mind as much though since we only slept there. AC has a great night life. We spent the Memorial wknd there and was out most of the time. It was the most reasonable place with the best location. We were able to park right in front of our room and walked all over. You honestly can't beat the convienence as far as location, we walked to the House of Blues, the outlet, boardwalk, etc. The neighborhood gets a bit creepy at night, so be on the alert. If you are on a budget or plan to be out most of the time and just looking for a place to rest your head this is it...if you are looking for room service, spa like atmosphere and lavish decor... run as fast as you can from Travelodge.

“A perfect hotel for the price!”

Ive read past reviews on this hotel, and didnt really like what i had read.. So I didnt know what to expect.. Well, I guess the people complaining about this hotel are hotel snobs.. There was nothing wrong with staying here at all.. Im from the tri-state area, so maybe that helped my opinion.. Atlantic City isnt the greatest place in the world.. Its run down, and not very nice looking.. So, if you're expecting great scenery, amazingly nice people.. Think again.. Knowing this, anywhere you stay in AC is going to look run down.. I dont know anyone from this area that goes to AC to spend time in their hotel, or to go to the beach.. They go to gamble, or see the nightlife.. And for that sort of thing, this hotel is perfect! The service was absolutely fine, asking if I needed anything and assuring if there was a problem to just ring the front desk.. Clean room, excellent location.. Within walking distance to the Showboat/House of Blues.. If you want to take a stroll on the boardwalk, its right there as well.. If youre looking for a hotel to hang out for hours in, and spending most of your time there while staying in AC, look for some place else.. This is not a hang out hotel.. Its great if you need a break from AC for a minute.. Its got a TV, a bed and a shower.. All of which are clean lol.. So you just have to ask yourself, is the hotel your get-away?? Or is the location your get-away.. If your answer is the latter, this hotel will serve you just fine!

“Ok for the price”

The hotel itself was nothing to complain about. The area it is in is convenient to the beach and boardwalk. However, it is in a more questionable area of town and there were some shady dealings going on.

“BOTTOM LINE: you get what you pay for”

The hotel and room was run down. there was plastic on our bed matresses (under the sheets but still a bit uncomfortable). We could hear some street noise but not too bad. The immediate block is a bit unsafe-looking at night. BUT, WE KNEW THIS GOING INTO THE HOTEL and we still booked for the price. This is a very crappy hotel as expected with the cheapest rate around the area.
