The staff makes the difference

Posted 01-Oct-2013
Cons: It's time for some new paint, wallpaper, and furniture.
Location: Close enough the Atlantic City, and good shopping and restaurants nearby. Not many in the first 1/2 mile, but there's a big mall about 5 miles away.
The hotel is just average. The rooms are a little worn, and the facilities shown their age. BUT the staff is great. The room was spotless, even though aged. The front desk clerk was very helpful, and the breakfast waitress and bartender were very attentive and friendly. For the price, considering the workers, I'd stay here again.

I won't return

Mold everywhere in bathroom. Elevators broke down while riding them. Bed flat and lopsided. This hotel has tremendous potential, but needs some serious updating. We won't return.

Hotel was more than we expected. Very nice. If we ever stay down that way again, we'll definitely stay there. Very nice!

Run down, awful a/c

Posted 12-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very run down. It has obviously never been renovated. My room was odd, with a random wet-bar type sink in a shabby outer room. The bathroom (as did the rest of the room) had peeling and patched wallpaper and old, cracked tile with dirty grout. The tub itself had patched holes in the inside. The worst part, however, was the horrible air conditioning. No digital thermostat, just a rheostat dial which provided little guidance on how to get cool air. It wasn't possible to get cold air from this unit, as I tried every position on the temperature knob only to get a low flow of tepid air. By the next morning I couldn't wait to check out just to get to my car and its a/c. Free breakfast was included but I was too afraid to try it, worried it would match the rest of this run down, sad hotel.

Nice but outdated.

Posted 09-Sep-2013
Pros: It was clean and the building and main floor looked nice.
Cons: Very outdated. Elevator wasn't working and looked very old. Bleach stain in the shower, although clean but not presentable.
Location: The location was pretty nice as far as fast food, restaurants, and stores are concerned.
The building could use a little updating. The good thing was that the problems of my stay were minute. I enjoyed the fresh breakfast, the room was clean, and the service was ok but nothing exceptional. I would only stay hear for the discounted rate and not the regular rate. Good/ok hotel over all.

The hotel was so-so

Posted 05-Sep-2013
Pros: Location is right near expressway, which is convenient if your driving.
Cons: The hotel room wasn't what I expected. Mattress was flat and the A/C did not work. The pool closed at 8 pm, it should be opened for a little longer.
Location: The hotel was close to restaurant and stores.
I think this hotel has a lot of potential. The lobby is big and the entrance is deceiving. The hotel needs a touch-up.

NOT GOOD ONE OF THE WORST

Posted 04-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
At arrival I was disapointed, the girl at the front deskn was rude, She told me I couldn't check in until 4pm but there was people checking in at 2pm. We arrived at 12 and had to ride around then pay for parking. After checking in we walk to the elevator and realized that the elevator wasn't working properly. then we entered the room and the wallpaper was cut and hanging off the wall. Then the smell hit us we had a non smoking room and it smelled of smoke. The floor was dirty the light was so bad we had to buy a lamp, and we both slept on top of the covers because we was scared of bed bad. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever been in let alone stay in. I very unhappy because your web site rated this as a four star hotel it's clearly a one star or no starr I wanted to go to another hotel but my girlfriend said let's just stay she didn't feel like going anywhere else after a 3 in a half drive. NEVER AGAIN
