“REALLY GOOD CENTRAL LOCATION.”
hotel is in great spot, close to metro station peachtree ctr. plenty of good places to eat and drink in the evening close by. 15 min walk to olympic park from hotel. buy a city pass - great value if want to see all the main attractions. loved atlanta - would defo go back - people so nice and friendly !
“3 Star? More like 5 Star !!!!”
What can I say about this hotel. I am surprised this Hotel only Rates its self as a Three Star. It is more like a Five Star Hotel. The staff are Very Friendly, the facilities are good and the food is very tasty. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the showers were powerful and Hot! Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they were always concerned that you were having a good time. My only complaint is that some rooms have connecting doors to other rooms, which do nothing to block out noise from them, avoid these rooms where possible. We did have to call Hotel security on our last night to stop the party in the room next door at which went on from 0415 to 0500 am, but the hotel did respond to our complaint, and the party was stopped.
“Good value in Downtown Atlanta”
As this was a slightly unnecessary, fraternal 'road- trip' for two brothers, price was a big issue and we struck a very good value package at the Sheraton Downtown, during a weekend when most hotels were full of delegates for a medical conference. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet enough. The hotel is large, a bit impersonal (especially the corridors) and is probably not for a romantic getaway. Service was generally very good, especially at breakfast, where - although hardly haute cuisine - the buffet was very decent value. The restaurant Fandangles felt tired and dated at night. The location is not great, unless one has business in the Downtown area, however the Concierge organised taxi (or limo!) service with ease and at reasonable rates. It was too cold to swim, but the fitness room was better equipped than most boutique hotel equivalents.
“Sheraton Atlanta”
Very nice stay at the Sheraton in Atlanta. Hotel staff were great and very help, they did their best to ensure that we had everything we needed. Food was good in the hotel and the room service was great, if a little expensive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Atlanta for the exhibition centre, if you are a tourist it might be better selecting a hotel a little outside the downtown area. Plenty of restaurants around downtown and a huge selection of different cuisines to please everyone.
“Not a great location”
First time in Atlanta attending event at the GWCC. Hotel was clean and comfortable - staff friendly - but the hotel is not located in a great area.
