“Great downtown location”
My Husband and I stayed at the Glenn for a date night out. This is a really nice little hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the GA Aquarium, The CNN Center, and The Tabernacle. Very clean and comfy rooms and a very sexy shower. We'll definitely be back.
“Stay again at The Glen”
Received a gracious welcome from Terrence. The restaurant/bar/lobby are very attractive. Liked the fact that to get to the guest rooms it required a key card for the elevator. Nice security feature. Our room was so comfortable...beautiful linens, very comfortable bed, all very clean. The rainhead shower was so relaxing. Great value.
“Glen No Water”
Very poor at notifing customers of no water in hotel for showering. Had business meetings all day and was not presentable.
“I truly loved the location and the staff. Located, walking distance to several venues.Very impressed.”
I went to Atlanta to celebrate my fifty-third birthday. I attended a concert, at the Philips arena and toured several venues. The hotel was centered in downtown Atlanta, and was walking distances to public transportation. I enjoyed eating at a variety of resturants and walking to Centennial park, CNN center, Varsity, Coke Cola, the Aquraium, and local clubs. My hotel also had a roof-top lounge that had a spectacular view of the city, while offering a cozy bar and resturant in the down stairs lobby.
“Close to the World Congress Center and Georgia Dome”
Walking distance to the CNN center and then through there to the World Congress Center and Dome. Rooms are small but clean. Staff friendly. Door to Hotel has a guard---room keys are only access to the elevators which gives much appreciated security.
“Huge rooftop party until 3 a.m.”
The room was very nice; however, when we arrived there was a very, very loud and large party on the rooftop which lasted until 3 a.m. They tried to accommodate us, but our night was not restful.
“Disappointed”
Pros: It was nice that you got a little blackberry cocktail at check-in, and the business center was really nice. The room was small but comfortable. A lot of cons: The pillows were way too soft. I wish I had stayed at a hotel with cable instead of Direct TV. The satellite went out and I missed the finale of my favorite show, which I had really been looking forward to. They had a service person on site to help, probably b/c of the NBA playoffs, but we didn't have reception from 8-11 pm. i tried to order room service, but when they transferred me to the chef, it went to voicemail. I went to the restaurant and ordered, but the food was pretty bad. The hotel wasn't terrible per se, but I was on my own and without good food and the ability to watch TV, I was pretty sour. I thought about going up to the rooftop deck, but I could hear the music pounding from several floors below, and I wasn't in the mood for that. This is the first time I have posted a somewhat negative review and if you are eating elsewhere, this is probably fine for you. Just left a bad taste in my mouth.
“It was nice, but not quiet.”
Hotel staff was great and very accommodating to my needs. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, small room but quaint, attractively decorated. Safety was top notch, free wi-fi in each room, but if all communication could not be completed in your room there was a wonderful conference room with computers and printers available for your use. My only issue was the city doing repairs to the sidewalks outside the hotel in the early mornings between the hours of 4 and 7 AM.
“A Diamond in the ROUGH”
Great, Great Hotel...Horrible area but a great hotel. The area is not desirable at all, actually quite disturbing. You walk out of the hotel and get harassed all the way through.
“Was not comfortable but very convenient”
Will not stay there again. Was not a 4 star feel.
