“Nice hotel”

This is a very nice hotel but it is kind of out of the way and hard to get to. It is close to the airport, though so if you are looking for something near Hartsfield-Intl Airport, I highly recommend this hotel. They offer a free shuttle to and from the airport, too.

“Great hotel for the price”

I read some crummy reviews on this hotel, but we enjoyed our stay very much. Only complaint is that it is off the beaten path, and not easy to find. We got lost twice trying to find it. Will definitely look into staying here again, especially now that we know where it is! : )

“Staff to eager to get you up and out”

We chose the Doubletree because it was 3 miles from the concert venue we were going to that night. It was a nice hotel but the neighborhood was sketchy at best. Within a mile of the hotel, there is a housing project and right next door is a big abandoned office building that the cops stake out. There are also lots of restaurants and a couple convenience stores within a short drive and many are open late night, which also added to the convenience. We didn't use the pool but we could see it from our room and it needed to be skimmed even though the water was crystal clear. The king size pillow top mattress was far too soft and some people may be allergic to the down pillows and down comforters. The AC unit was really loud but it kept the room nice and cool. The front desk people were very nice. The housekeeping staff tried to clean our room 30 minutes after we checked in, which seems ridiculous. They also woke us up at 9 am the next morning to try to clean the room and we didn't have to be out until noon. My Expedia receipt said I was supposed to get free parking but they charged me $10 for it and wouldn't budge on the fee. I also had to show my parking receipt when I left the next day, which makes no sense because I paid when I went in and had the mirror hang tag visible on the car. Overall, I would recommend the Doubletree for a short stay. We stayed one night and it was worth much more than the low price we got through Expedia.

Area recommendations
Downtown Atlanta is nicer and safer than the airport area. Most of the interesting and fun places to go in Atlanta are also downtown. But if you're going to Lakewood Amphitheater, the airport area is closer and the airport hotels are more convenient.

“Great hotel so-so service”

I was there on a romantic get away with my Fiance so we were just trying to relax and be pampered for a day or two. Check in was a little uncomfortable. The check out girl seemed a little rude and seemed to be judge us. Im not sure if it was the way we were dressed or the fact that we were not yet married but she made us feel very uncommfortable with her prying and unusual questions about why we were there as if we didnt belong. The warm cookies at check in almost made up for it though. Beyond that the room was spacious and nice. the bed was comfortable. We were in walking distance to many dining options but all were extreamly crowded. We tried to order room service for dessert and they told us to come get it ourselves even though it wasFAR from the closing time. When we tried to ask what the options were the attendant seemed annoyed as well. All in all it was a nice hotel but the staff could have been a little nicer. I hope it was just an off day because I would not mind staying here again.

“Good choice”

I was very pleased with the hotel and all dealings with the staff. I attended a banquet there at the hotel and the food was great. The service was good. The staff was friendly and accomodating.

“good airport hotel”

Nice hotel, a little older but in good condition, readily convenient to airport. Website address could use some directions - it's convenient, but the street is not very visible.

“"Not a bad hotel"”

Older but nice. Cleaning products smelled strong to cover older carpet smell though, but it showed that they tried. Great customer service. They were willing to help and very concerned. It did take a couple of hours to get toilet unstopped but after second call they were there within 5 minutes. I would definitely stay there again. I think a renovation in the near future would make it even better. Great price!

“My wife and I were duly impressed. We intend on booking this hotel upon our next visit”

The atmosphere was wonderful and the hotel amenities were just right for a short stay. The dining facilities had wonderful meals and the dining room staff were very service focused. We had a great time.

Area recommendations
I didn't visit long enough to have an opinion of the city of Atlanta, but it seamed to have a lot to offer.
Other
The area near the hotel had lots of restaurants within walking distance.
