“Pleasant surprise”

After our last trip to Atlanta resulting in a HORRIBLE hotel stay (Sun Suites/Gwinnett off of Steve Reynolds - HIGHLY advise everyone to go elsewhere, this place is AWFUL), we had very low expectations for any extended stay hotel we picked. Candlewood Suites was a lovely surprise. First off they actually had all of the cookware we needed in the kitchen, we didn't have to go buy anything - nice change from the last hotel. The room was larger than expected, and very modern (VCR/DVD combo included with TV - no rental required). We took our dog with us, and they had a special "pet resume" for us to fill out for her with all emergency info for her while we were out of the room. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There's a convenience store on the ground floor of the hotel with pretty much everything you'd need: food, drinks, snacks, desserts, medicine, etc, etc, etc. I could go on and on about all of the things that impressed us at this place... especially with the price we paid. Without a doubt we will stay at Candlewood Suites every time we go back, and plan on trying them out in different cities as well.

Excellent place- newly remodeled and very well stocked. The room had everything we needed to cook a meal and store the leftovers. Comfy bed, clean, great value for everything you get. This is the place to stay in Gwinnett!

I love the whole environment of this hotel, it is a smaller version of a resort.

“Has full-service kitchen, 5 minute walk from a farmer's market”

stayed here last weekend. the kitchen has a full sized fridge, sink, microwave, an electrice stove with 2 burners, knives, a glass cutting board, a pan, and 2 pots. the first 2 floors is non smoking. the carpet and bed linens are somewhat dated, but bed is warm and comfy. the farmer's market nearby has a great selection at good prices. there is also a buffet next door, which i did not try as i prefer home cooked meals. staff was friendly.g

“Candlewood was a welcomed surprise”

Comfortable stay at a clean and roomy hotel! I was a little apprehensive about staying here, as I am acustomed to lodging at the Marriott. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the service, cleanliness, and comfort of this hotel. I will be staying there more often.

“Decent place to stay for business”

Upon checking in, I thought that there was going to be an issue. The desk employee stated that I did not have a reservation for a room and did not have a room available for me. Once I showed her the reservation confirmation, she was able to provide me a room; however, her aditude was poor and the key card did not work when I arrived at the room. That was immediately fixed and the room was fine from that point on. And to her credit, she did call back later to check on me and the room. The rest of the stay was pleasant and I will be staying there again. I will just make sure to call ahead for confirmation to save some grief!
