“A Great Boutique Hotel”
The Fresh Hotel was exactly what we wanted. It's clean, modern and a little edgey. The staff were all extremely helpful and gave us alot of good recommendations for bars and restaurants. The hotel's rooftop bar has a great view of the Parthenon, and the pool (also on the roof) although a little small would be a nice place to cool down at the end of the day. The hotel is walking distance from all the main sites (although I might not be saying this if we'd been there in August). We'll ceratinly be recommending the hotel to all our friends.
“very chilled out”
great close to major sites
“Can recommend to stay here”
Excellent hotel with modern look and facilities. Great and very friendly service from staff. Roof terrace is fantastic, though a bit of a shame that view of Acropolis is slightly obscured by adjacent concrete flats. Area around neighbourhood is sometimes described as unpleasant or unsafe, but if you stay on main roads everything is fine. Overall, really enjoyed the stay at the hotel and Athens, and did not feel unsafe for one minute. I can really recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay there again on a next visit to Athens.
“Great hotel, perfect location, area "ok"”
The hotel is great - clean and tidy and helpful friendly staff. Rooms a bit small, but fine. Rooftop bar has views and small pool. open util october huge breakfast, a little warm rather than hot though As for the area, it's not the best, but it's not that bad. We wandered around morning noon and night, as the "dodgy" area was a short cut to the touristy part of town. Sure we were the only tourists, but never felt thretened once, it's full of wholesale import/exporters - you can get your tourist tat for 1/10 the price in the high street! and they are happy to sell in bulk or 1 at a time.... Noisy? Nope - we had inside rooms - inner court yard view, but not a squeek of noise. XXX dvd? you have to look very hard to find them. Prostitutes? a few knocking about, but no worse than anywhere else in town. wifi worked, pretty quick as well.
“Great for visiting the Acropolis”
Liked the hotel, room a bit small for 2 people. didn't like the bathroom, no soundproofing whatsoever so lacking in privacy Great views from rooftop bar, in a shabby run down area but very close to the Acropolis and everything we wanted to see easily within walking distance. Great breakfast in lovely dining room. All in all pleasant hotel with nice staff
“staying in Athens”
This hotel is conveniently situated for buses and the Metro. Although close to the dodgy Omonia Square it is also adjacent to the much more upmarket distirct of Monostiraki. We experienced no problems and i would recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooftop bar and pool are beautiful with good views of the Acropolis
“a game of 2 halfs”
great location next to the bustle of the central food market. Great views from the terrace of the partheon. Rooms are well appointed and clean the ice bar with hard core euro dance music on the first floor does not disturb. On the down side....although the staff are helpful they were unable to open my room door when i needed to check out and a handy man had to climb over the balcony to let me in.At night there is thre cackle of the nigerian hookers being chasedaway fron the hotel entrance all night by the security staff.Next door is a brothel hotel and next door to that is the cutest pet shop i have seen out side of the one in Greenwich village New york. As i say a hotel of 2 halfs...overall...i liked it a lot
“Athens city break”
The Fresh Hotel was better than expected. Rooms were clean and comfortable and well equipped. Breakfasts were good. Reception staff were helpful. Pool was good. We did not east in the hotel as it was a trifle expensive and there were loads of places in the city to try! The location of the hotel is to the North of the main area, but close to the Omonia metro station (making it an easy and cheap journey from the airport). The area felt reasonably safe but there is certainly adult entertainment on offer, but not in an overbearing or offensive way.
“Great little hotel!”
Really funky design hotel, very helpful staff, convenient location and we booked for a really reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends/family travelling to Athens, and wouldn't hestitate to book again should I return.
“Talk about FRESH baby!..”
After reading about the reviews on location and how run down and noisy the Omonia district was, we were quite not looking forward to our last stop here in Athens (Staying just 2 nights). The location does state Omonia but is just on the outer edge. There was a lot of noise as a live stage was just around the corner, but managed to get to sleep with ease. Now in terms of quality, design, cleaniness, comfort, breakfast, service, this hotel really was a cut above any hotel we have stayed in before. I would recommend this hotel to younger people but saw families with babies & children, also seniors. Everybody was impressed. Although we did treat ourselves on the last night, to the open top pool bar, the cocktails are expensive but exclusive, also food. In terms of location, it is excellent for distance to Acropolis (1m), markets & rstaurants. Would also recomment 3 Euro bus instead of 50 euro taxi, just ask Fresh staff for directions, they will also map things out for you. Enjoy :D James
