“worst hotel ever”
nothing impressive, from poor room services to poor uncomfortable bed and old TV set ( very difficult to operate), no coffee maker, no iron, nothing but the mere basics in the room, to unfriendly reception employees. will never ever stay in that hotel agian.I recommend you take it off your list.
“Getting Dated”
The President Hotel, was fine for a convieient location for a conference. Still extremely busy despite the issues in Greece and Athens. The rooms were a little dated, old and quite small bathrooms. The bedrooms were a little bigger (but not spacious by any means) but some of the fittings have seen better days. A big old TV dominated the room. The bed covers although I sure had been laundered had seen better days and had old stains on them! The inclusive breakfast was a big disappointment. Various basement rooms, packed and really very limited choice. The fruit juice was horrible, the cooked breakfast was bacon and sausages of Turkey. Yes it was convienient but I wouldnt rush back. The road outside was busy and friends lower down complained of the street noise. At the time of economic strife, piles of uncollected rubbish, no transportation and no free wi-fi didnt help. The top floor bar and pool was much better and a handy distraction from some of the other failings.
“great hotel”
we enjoyed our recent stay at president hotel. Reception staff are very helpful and riendly. hotel is conveniently located to metro and bus station but unfortunately there was ongoing strike of public transport during our stay. nevertheless we managed most things on foot or tour bus which was operational. housekeeping staff pleasant and efficient! buffet breakfast has good variety and is a real plus point. however we were disappointed at no tea/coffee facility in the rooms and one has to take your clothes down to lobby if you want ironing. we changed our room twice due to smell from the bathroom drains which was unfortunately present in all the rooms we tried. also you could hear nextdoor toilet flushing all the time. this was reported but were told nothing could be done. overall a good hotel for comfort, location and friendliness of staff. recommended.
“A bit outside the main Plaka”
About a 15 Euro ride into the main town. Elevators were broken, 4 euros per hr for wi-fi, no printer in their business center( were unable to print our boarding passes)...BUT, fabulous breakfast! Air conditioning could work a little better (we were here in Mid - Sept....might have been seriously deficient in August). Fare from airport to hotel was $35 Euros...we divided it up between 4 persons which made it a good option.
“If back in Athens, I would stay here again.”
Amazing rooftop pool and bar with spectacular views of the city.
“Very impressed.”
The staff was excellent and responsive! The Breakfast Buffet was awesome!
“good hotel to stay if you do not need to use the subway”
clean hotel, with a nice breakfast and a very nice roof top with a pool. Please ask to be located above the 3rd floor if you want to use the internet. The system to buy internet time from the bar is unacceptable. Very good hotel service. There are banks in the neighbourhood, but the subways is not very close. Easy access to taxi service. Good choice to avoid the dowtown trouble area of Athens
“Beautiful hotel”
It is a first class hotel. They had a great breakfast every morning, included in the price.
“Will go back again”
This was our second time at the President Hotel and the service was even better this time than the last. We really enjoyed our stay. The roof top pool club was fabulous and made our stay very relaxing.
“Not Impressed”
1- Am taking daily medicine with hot / worm water and when i call the room services the replay "we don't serve hot water to the rooms" after that i wear having same curacy and I ask do you serve shaving kit, sewing kit or tooth brush kit the answer was very simple "we don't serve any of these things. how this hotel rated with 4 star ????? 2- I pay 25 EUR for the internet and the signal was very poor in my room so when i need the internet i will open the room door and sit in the walkway 3- Staff are not friendly at all you will never see there smill unless you are Greek or European 4- I decide that i will leave early and i ask the reception how to change my flight date simply she wright the travel agency phone number and she tell me "call from your room"
