“Good location, good value”
Melia is in a good location within walking distance of shopping and the Acropolis. Hotel personnel were very friendly and courteous. I would definitely go back again!
“Excellent ....”
Very comfortable stay ... thank you ...
“Should be better!”
We paid more in our Hotel budget for they had a rooftop pool area. I often stay in nice Hotels so I was happy for my friends to chose this hotel. But the rooftop was not open! They would only open it if the bar was open. We planned every afternoon to sit on top over looking the city drinking our wine, that I brought from California. Plus there wake-up call service was broken but they did not know it. It just should of been better.
“Great hotel for the price”
Most travellers say that this hotel is in a pretty bad location but I stayed here for 5 days and I had no probems with this hotel at all. In fact, I felt safer as I found a lot more cops patrolling this area. Unfortunately, most of the surrounding neighborhoods in Athens aren't exactly what you'd call prime locations with the exception of the Plaka. The room was clean and the facilities were in great condition and it is located about 5 mins away from Syntagma Square.
“Incredible Views from Roof!”
Fantastic hotel, amazing views from the rooftop. Amazing rooftop swimming pool and views to acropolis. After Our month long journey through europe this was our second last destination and it felt wonderful finally being somewhere that felt like what we are accustomed to in canada. Loved it.
“Nice Hotel with Great Views of the Acropolis”
Stayed just one night here to catch a cruise the next morning, but it was very nice nonetheless. It's quick walking distance to the Omonio Metro station and the views of the Acropolis at night, from the roof, we're really special. Overall, it's a fine hotel with good service. I'd recommend to anyone.
“Melia Athens”
We were staying during the protests just around the corner, but inside the Hotel it was business as usual. Clean, comfortable with great service. If there is a downside, it would be having to pay for internet access. With so many places offering it for free we felt it was a bit petty to charge so much for room access. They wanted more for 12 hours of service than I pay for a month at home.
“Will stay here again!”
While Omonia is not known as the best neighborhood, I would certainly recommend this hotel! It is 5 minutes from the metro- the Omonia stop has two lines so it is great for getting anywhere in the city (and quickly out of Omonia!). It is a very nice hotel with a great outdoor roof top pool. The view of Athens was incredible from the roof.
“Melia Athens -Greece”
This is the best hotel we stayed in. Location is great, it feels very new and has bar and pool on the roof with spectacular view of Athens. We stayed 3 days and were happy with the convenience of location (15mins to get to Plaka, Monastiraki) . The room was spacious and one can stay there for a long time very comfortably. Decor is new and very elegant. But the best thing about this hotel are the people who work there. The wallet and the phone was stolen from us on our way from airport to the hotel in the metro (be extremely cautious, there are a lot of pickpocketing). The staff was so helpful, compationate and friendly. They helped us with making calls and took such a good care of us that we were able to get over that misfortune and enjoy our vacation. Many, many thanks to all people at the front desk!!!! If you are going to stay there, you will be in good hands and get very good service.
“Good hotel at a good price.”
The staff were very helpful. It is a very good modern hotel. Not a good restaurant.
