“Better off at the Hilton”
Not impressed with the hotel. I found the staff not friendly or very helpful. My sheets were had stains on them. I had a much better time at the Hilton Athens.
“Comfortable, clean, friendly hotel”
I enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza in Athens and happily would stay there again. The staff were friendly: I was readily given a late check-out The room was large, comfortable and clean Temperature control - essential for Athens! - was very good The hotel is within fair walking distance of the city Public transport is within 5 minutes walk. All told, a very good quality hotel that delivers what it promises
“Nice Hotel”
Staff were not the most friendliest or welcoming...hotel rooms were spacious and in very quiet location, however was a 25 minute walk to Syngtama although metro was fairly close (beware of sudden strikes!!) Overall hotel was ok but probably wouldn't return.
“Luxury in a box!”
If your looking for a little class & luxury away from the hussel n bussell, u should consider this place! The hotel used to be the Holiday Inn but refurbished to become the Crown Plaza. The rooms are ultra modern & cozy with very comfortable beds and very nice bathrooms. The hotel boasts views of the Lekavito which is the highest point in Athens with a beautiful church at the top which if your lucky enough your room view is of this. There is a roof top bar & pool which is pretty cool if u want to chill or catch some rays & the hotel also has a air-conditioned gym with sauna and a massage area :) ok the negatives, there isn't anything around the hotel that is anything special including cafes & restaurants that I could really recommend. The hotel is pretty pricey on food, drinks and not to mention wifi. The hotel staff are professional & curtius but u were expecting warm and family oriented, I would recommend the Holiday suites apartments across the road. Overall it was a really, really nice stay for me.
“Great Athens location and comfort”
The location was handy to the subway (2-3 blocks), great restaurants (esp. the Saloon restaurant around the corner), and museums. We had a view of Lycabettus Hill out our window. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was on a par with up-scale U.S. hotels, though the overall decor in the lobby is a little garish (lots of neon). The price of the breakfast buffet, at 23 euros per person when we were there, ($150 for a family of four) seemed rather extreme, and we found a pleasant deli about a block away where we ate each morning for about 20 euros total. We'd most definitely stay there again.
“Great hotel near the center of Athens”
Great hotel conveniently located near the center of Athens. It was great for business and pleasure. After a day's work it was easy to visit stores and area attractions nearby. Metro/subway located nearby within walking distance. Also noticed in the evening there was a small conference in the hotel in their banquet room area, as well as plenty of people in the hotel bar in the evening. Valet service parked my car and brought it in front of the hotel as often as I wanted. The printer had a small problem in the business area, but the staff was kind enough to let me use the VIP lounge to print. Eating: There's a great little restaurant about a one minute walk from the hotel with lots of Greek home-made dishes (ex: Pastitsio and Moussaka), as well Greek fast-food (ex: Gyro). Besides that, there's lots of great restaurants in the area. Ask the concierge.
“Good business hotel”
Centrally located, but quiet as it was not next a busy street. Well designed rooms. Nice
“Holiday in Athens”
Good hotel. A bit far from main attraction. Underground 5 minutes from the hotel. Nice breakfast every morning. Swimming small very small but not open till mid May- not informed and the girls were dissapointed. 2 double beds in room. Reasonable size rooms. Overall Okay.
“Would stay here again”
Lovely hotel, nice breakfasts, friendly staff. The bar was nice for an "after touristing around" drink. Close walk to Metro and when we didn't feel like the train we walked to Santagma Square which took us around 40 minutes.
“Nice Hotel wrong Street”
Hotel and service was great, room was comfortable and relatively big for European standards. Close distance to the Metro. The metro is very cheap and the best way to get around. The only dislike was where the hotel is located it seems that is surrounded by a few cabarets but no issue there since you can't see any phony activity going on. The only thing is if you go with minors you will most likely be explaining what is that they do at those type of establishments. Greece was nice and the people very hospitable. Must try the Moussaka and of course some ouzo.
