“Good hotel in safe neighborhood”
Everything was fine.
“some ups and a few downs”
The room was comfortable and clean, the front desk was friendly and helpful. I do have two negative experiences to report: One morning, the housekeeping staff walked into my room (before 9 am) without knocking. This was disturbing since I had deadbolted the door and had thought that this precluded entry using the credit card-type key. Second, I got a horrible meal from the Mediterranean fine-dining restaurant on the first floor. So horrible, I was not sure if they were making a joke at my expense. I ordered the Greek version of boulebaisse and they served me yellow broth that was empty except for tiny bits of fish at the bottom. I paid but never returned!
“convenient, clean and a great breakfast selection”
we were attending a conference at the Megaro Moussikis, which was less than 5 minutes by foot from the hotel. but the metro stop there is two stops from the heart of ancient Athens. the nearest intersection has a handful of small bars and restaurants and one of these outdoor bar/cafe/restaurants with plenty of cozy seating under a pavilion of trees for sipping ouzo and raki before calling it a night or for a morning coffee in the shade. breakfast options range from bread and coldcuts to eggs and ham with plenty of sweets and fruit as well as a greek dish or two. the rooms are simple but very clean and well maintained. the balconies are nice but there's not much of a view. we didn't even switch on the tiny old TV or try the instant coffee provided with the electric tea kettle. irons are not provided (or allowed) in the rooms so they can charge >5 euro's/item. we found a laundromat near the metro that charged ~1.50/item. we didn't interact much with the staff but english is well spoken and newspapers from many countries were available in the lobby. the worst part was the internet service. although they have two lines, both were painfully slow and completely useless half the time. they blamed it on the provider. luckily our conference had great internet - we couldn't pick up any reliable stray signals from the room or balcony. overall, the place is solid and we we would go back as the prices were good and we were very comfortable.
“rmds22”
although the hotel is quiet small, the staff are very helpful and the location is excellent.
“Great hotel in good location”
Great hotel, good service and extremely good breakfast. Located very close to public transport a couple of stops by Metro to the centre of Athens.
“OUR BAD EXPERIENCE”
The hotel does not worth the price we pay ( ??? $ per night). The hotel has got 2 small elevators hardly enough for 2 persons and one bag, that is why we use it few times because it is full most of the time although our room was at high floor ( the hotel was full because near to conference . We saw some cockroaches (medium size) inside the room. Most of the rooms have got very very bad view when you look from the window. The television was very small and you will need a chair to sit very to it so that you can see, although you will not find any thing to see, because there is only 5 channels and none of them speak any other language except the Greek language. In the bathroom, the towels are very smelly, although nobody use it we have to drop it in the tub to be cleaned again and also comes again smelly, probably they use bad and cheap detergent, the problem is that we didn't bring our own towels. Furniture inside the room was much less than we expected for highly priced hotel and was used for long time. The hotel near to convention center and bus stop( Platea Mavelli ) but it was not on main street but on a small street and the sign of the hotel can be missed easily. Regarding the breakfast, although many people said it is excellent, for me it was regular breakfast buffet and it doesn't have many varieties and probably you can see this breakfast in 70$ hotels. Also, the hotel doesn't offer free accommodation for children more than 2 years with their parents
“The hotel is practical and really nice.”
The hotel is nice, the location is great, the people from the hotel is really nice and the brekfast is really good.
“Good location on the outskirts of Athens”
I found the Motel to be very good. It was close to the subway system and Embassy. The breakfast was full service and well planned. Excellent for being included with the room. when the Air Conditing went out the staff got right on it and we where back in the cool in a matter of minutes. Very helpfull staff which made the stay even better after a full day of tours.
“Excellent Hotel and area”
We found the Hotel Airotel Alexandros was excellent. The rooms were large cool and very clean. The inclusive breakfasts were superb and kept us going all day. The metro is within easy walking distance of the hotel and the area around the hotel is pleasant and safe. There are a few late night cafes and shops but the area is still quiet.
“Very nice hotel!”
We enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfortable enough, the room was pretty good size, and the location was nice (only about 1/4 mile from the subway station). I thought it was unique that the shower nozzle was in the middle of the tub (instead of one end). Bathrooms were nice, clean, and decent sized. It was hot while we were there, so we really appreciated the airconditioner. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Our taxi to the airport arrived on time at 4:30 AM, so that was perfect!
