“Can't wait to go back.”
I absolutely love this hotel.
“Comfortable and convenient, but too expensive”
The room and bathroom were small, and sheets were clean but had spots that should have been bleached out. Great location and nice hotel, but not worth what we paid.
“Very upscale at a reasonable price.”
This hotel is in the downtown area of Asheville. With easy walking to downtown shops. Staff was very gracious and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. This was the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. In room refrigerators and coffee maker. Very comfy beds. Highly recommend. Very impressed. With all the great restaurants in Asheville, we did not eat in the hotel but we saw a lot of people that did.
“This is Marriott?”
The air conditioner was extremely loud. Shower tile mildew. Tub did not drain. Hair in sink. Wet and dirty wash cloth left on floor in bathroom. We changed rooms. The air conditioner was still loud and the bathroom tile was not clean.
“Birthday weekend in Asheville.”
We had a great time. The hotel was very nice and clean. We were in walking distance of all things downtown. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone that wants to stay in downtown Asheville. It was very close to shopping, bars and our favorite resturants.
“Best in Town!”
Cant beat the location of this hotel, practically everything is within walking distance. The room was very nice and very clean, great bedding!!
“Stay here everytime we are in Asheville.”
Staff and service is outstanding. Easy walk to downtown Asheville. Great weekend breakfast buffet. Easy commute to and from airport.
“A Memorial Weekend”
This location is conveniently located to the major highways. It was within six blocks of those things we wanted to do in the downtown area of Asheville. Try the country French bistro, Bouchon -- excellent food, friendly staff, reasonably priced. The local architecture and small parks create a special atmosphere. Small, unique shops add to the pleasure of walking. Just leave your car at the hotel and get to know the city.
“Great stay in Asheville....”
Definitely would recommend as a great Fall place to stay...very conveniently located to downtown and surrounding ammenities. Check it out!
“No, I won't go back...ever”
Check-in was easy. However the room we were sent to was not on the 'Club' level as requested on the reservation. The first room we were assigned to was stuffed in an off-shute of the hotel along with two other rooms and next to the ice machine. We went down to the front desk and requested that we to be moved to a Club level room . They complied. The room itself was long, narrow and cramped with furniture. The ceiling had a very large area of water damage. The bathroom was filthy with hair all over, including on the toilet seat and on the toilet tank. I have never felt like I had to 'hover' over a hotel toilet before. The hotel restaurant was closed when we arrived there at 7pm on a Friday night. The Club level lounge had little to offer in the way of food or drink, unless it was alcoholic. The hotel staff was useless in offering any idea of a decent restaurant in the area. Anything they suggested was geared towards the single/college student scene which included smoke-filled, overly loud bar/lounge type venues. Not to mention the streets were vacant with the exception of a few scary looking thugs and music playing vagabonds. Was I expecting too much for this 3 1/2 star hotel? This truly was a very unpleasant experience.
