“thouroughly enjoyed my stay”

The staff was always friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. very comfortable.

“Location, location, location”

It's a short drive to downtown Asheville, but the neighborhood isn't that great. Chain restaurants nearby (Cracker Barrel, Outback Steakhouse), so you get the drift. Worst thing is that right next door is a dumpy motor lodge that has what appears to be rental units in the back -- and our window looked right down on the trashy, poorly kept building. Tenants were dumping trash off their decks. Not good. Also, it isn't easy to find the road to turn on to get to this hotel -- signage is non-existent coming from downtown and there is only a small sign the other direction. You can see it, you just have to figure out a way to get there! Room was nice and clean. Didn't try the restaurant because the menu wasn't that appealing (burgers and sandwiches, etc.) Front desk help gets an A.

“Easy access to everything.”

We were there for the Bristol races and opted for a longer drive rather than pay the gouging rates of the hotels near the track. Because the races were at night, we had the whole day to kill. There are lots of things to see and do in Asheville and the girls at the desk were very helpful in making suggestions. Restaurants and other services are conveniently located nearby. Downtown is walkable but I would suggest driving. The city is a little tricky to navigate but interstates are easy to get to. Parkin spaces are a bit small for large vehicles and spaces are limited but you can park in the steakhouse lot next door which is still as close as most hotels parking. I will come back next year.

No curtains made it difficult to sleep. Wanted a double but got a king. However, Bed was comfortable.

“Not downtown but not downtown price”

OK, first, not sure what lens they used for the pool pix but the entire pool is the size of a small bedroom. That being said, it was still enjoyable as we could not check-in early, they allowed us to use the pool facility until room was ready. Also, as mentioned, you could walk downtown but it would not be a fun walk. However, less than a mile is a really nice parking deck across from the town-hall that was reasonable ( saturday night when we left after 11pm the gate was open) and within walking distance of most things downtown. Do yourself a favor, drive around downtown early to get your bearings before heading out. Great location for downtown events but better hotels near Biltmore if that is your main reason to be there. Our room was great and had flatscreen and nice bath. Staff was friendly. Only gripe was seedy motel next to Hotel.

Nice hotel, The walk to town through the tunnel is a bit rough but overall the actual hotel was comfortable, nice staff and newer

The room was great, no problems with anything at all. The only dislike we had was the full service restaurant, so no continental breakfast, you had to order & pay, other than that, it was great! We still would return.
