“Nice place to stay”

We have stayed here before and enjoyed it a second time. It's convenient to downtown, and right off of I-240. Everything was satisfactory except the wireless internet service. Seems most hotels advertise in room wireless nowadays, but few deliver, and this hotel was no exception. They brought us a bridge so we could finally get very little service. Seemed like a waste of time taking my laptop this trip. Otherwise, a pretty good hotel.

“great spot for downtown Asheville”

This was a great location for Downtown Asheville with the added bonus of a multiplex cinema and moddern shopping mall. Reception staff could not have been more wlcoming.

“Hampton Inn Tunnel Rd.”

Awesome hotel, very friendly staff, clean room, excellent breakfast and pool. Received a nice welcom note in my room upon my arrival. Will stay at this hotel anytime i'm in the area.

“Needs Improvement”

The hotel needs to be refurbished, it looks very old compared to the other surrounding hotels. The rooms don't have a fridge, microwave, or even a safe!! Overall I'm not too satisfied with this hotel, I don't recommend going here.

“Asheville convenient location”

Very nice hotel, as is typical for Hampton Inns. On Tunnel Road, which is rather like "hotel central". Very close to all of the usual suspects in restaurants--several with a block. Within walking distance of the mall and other shopping. About a mile from the downtown Asheville area, so convenient to drive, or to walk if you care to hike up the hill to the tunnel. No issues with the Expedia reservation. I would surely stay there, again.

Area recommendations

Actually, I would prefer the downtown area. Not a big difference. This hotel is convenient to the interstate.

“Very Nice staff”

Everybody was extremely friendly. The breakfast was great and include a make-your-own-waffle deal. I would have better enjoyed the pool if it were outside, but I know that cannot be changed. The room was very comfortable and we weren't able to hear any outside noise. I did happen to see two very tiny bugs in the towels that were placed in our room. I'm not sure what they were but when I gave them to the front desk, they were very nice about giving me more clean towels. The location was a little bit hidden but made for convenience of not being interrupted by outside commotion. Overall it was a nice stay, well worth the money.

Area recommendations

The downtown area of Asheville was lovely. Lots of things to do/ see and a lot of interesting art.

“good but not great”

hotel front desk was helpful. we had a clean room-2 beds but something was missing. for the price it was just ok. the breakfast was much better then most.the pool was clean and fitness center had enough equipment but limited room. lucky i was the only one using it. we had a problem with the toilet,it overflowed. i was able to extract the problem. we where moved to another room and we received a free night!! the hotel is close to malls and the entrance to Biltmore Estate -2 mi. many places to eat- beautiful scenery-the price for the room - should be a better deal.

“Will go back again.”

Recently renovated. Very clean, bright, and attractive as you enter the lobby. Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good. Convenient to Biltmore Estate, and nice restaurants. Will definitely go back again.

“Great place to stay”

This was a very clean motel. They were in the process of renovating and everything was like new. Great mattress, nice jacuzzi and pool. Great breakfast. No complaints!

Area recommendations

It is fun to go downtown and browse the shops and eat lunch and watch all the people.
