“Will definitely go back!”
We've traveled many places and stayed at many nice hotels. The Grand Bohemian is one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed. It is a little pricey, but well worth the money! It's in a great location within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. You feel like you are staying in a European village.
“Great Location”
Right across the street from the Biltmore Estates and near old town Asheville. Service was wonderful. Restaurant had great food, but very expensive. There are many good restaurants within walking distance. Light sleeper note, there is a train track near by, and the train blows it's horn during sleeping hours.
“Much More Than Expected”
The Grand Bohemian Asheville is a terrific hotel; as a young sixty year old guy, travelling alone, I found the hotel warm and exceptionally welcoming. The room was perfectly equipped and beautifully decorated. The bar staff provided excellent service - both for cocktails and dinner. I enjoyed visiting Asheville; if I ever returned, I would stay at the Grand Bohemian.
“Perfect for our anniversary!”
The Grand Bohemian is one of the loveliest hotels we've stayed in--and we've traveled the world. Our room was so beautiful that we've decided to do some remodeling at home using some of the fixtures! The staff was terrific; housekeepers refused tips for bringing ice. It was a joy to be able to walk to our favorite Asheville restaurant, The Corner Kitchen. We can't wait to return.
“Best Secret in Asheville”
I love Kessler hotels and this is no exception! It is decandant, pampering and just a wonderful experience. I usually stay at another Inn in Asheville, but this settled it, Grand Bohemian will be my destination in Asheville. The staff, the bar and restaurant, the room, the tub!!! The experience was just wonderful and the hotel is lovely, tasteful blend of lodge and European castle!
“One of Asheville's Jewels”
I've traveled a lot and this hotel was one of the finest hotels I've stay at. The service was great. It was well decorated and the fireplace was just out of a catalog. I was very pleased and suprised at the whole experience. It is a place that I would love to go back to and stay longer.
“Great place”
Great location, wonderful ambiance, friendly hotel staff. On site restaurant and bar very crowded. Bartender was a bit edgy with customers. Live music was great.
“Can't wait to go back!”
We were in the Asheville area recently picking my child up from camp and stayed at the Grand Bohemian for one night. The lobby was a real "Wow" when we walked in and our check in was smooth and handled in a very professional manner. The staff gave us a brief tour of the hotel on the way to the our room and pointed out the beautiful artwork along the way. It a little like walking through a gallery.. actually, it is like walking through a gallery!! Our room was outstanding.. deep tub, beautiful counter tops and a huge shower. The beds were very comfy and room service was right on time the next morning. The ambiance of the hotel/rooms is certainly romantic. Our only 'concern' is that our room faced the street and could be a little noisy... other then that, our stay was perfect! I really want to go back this winter~
“Lovely rooms and bath, Very poor restaurant service.”
Parking for hotel registration was not organized or efficient. Front desk staff were very friendly and acommodating. The rooms were lovely and the bath was gorgeous. We were seated for over 1/2 hour with menus at the Red Stag Grill and no one came to take our order. There were only 2 other groups in the restaurant and it was after the lunch hour rush. We left and no one seemed to care. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff. The manager contacted me, but I never got the feel that he really cared about us being there or about us returning. While in our room, we could hear the music that played outside the elevator all night, even after calling the front desk to alert them that the music was continually getting louder as the night progressed. We could hear the music above the TV we were listening to. This was annoying. The hotel is located close to a train track, so you could hear the train go by several times. This really did not bother us. All in all we loved the room and bath, but would not return in the furture. We would not recommend the Red Stag Grill for a meal.
“Definitly not impressed. The TV was an extra charge and the room a cell.”
I have traveled extensively and that was the strangest place I have ever been. The ad showed a big jetted tub, it had a stand up shower. The window was at five feet up in the wall and 2 x 2. The bellman never brought my bags, the whole hotel is dark. The water was expensive and the TV extra. I left and asked for my money back.
