“A relaxing oasis”
It was such a relaxing stay, located off the main highway up on a hill. The entrance had the beautiful Christmas lights adorning the columns and trees. There was a doorman and was glad to help with your bags. It was a quick check-in and then off to your room. The room was large, 2 beds with elegant white comforters. Mattresses were so comfortable and very easy to sink into. Room service was superb. Can't wait to go back. Oh, and the really exciting time was spent zip-ling....Wow....it should be on everyones Bucket List to do. Looking forward to my next visit at Crowne Plaza Resort in Asheville, North Carolina.
“Nice Hotel”
Clean, pleasant hotel, located 5 minutes from Downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village. Convenient location to travel to Mt. Mitchell State Park as well as Chimney Rock and Highlands.
“worst experience ever”
First it's hard to find. My GPS even missed it twice and it's located a spot where if you miss it. You drive 5 miles to get back to it. Then the room smelled like mold (musty). The remote control for TV did not work. Internet service never did work despite numerous phone calls. Even spoke on an 800 # with the internet provider company to no avail. I missed half a night's sleep, did not get my Online work done and missed breakfast the next day because of all this.
“Not impressed at all.”
I have stayed at another Crowne Plazas before. 1. The shower took 5 minutes before we had hot water. 2. The toilet didn't have sufficient pressure to flush the "contents" completely. 3. I constantly had to remove the toilet tank's lid and jiggle the stopper to get the tank to fill up. 3. Do you like train whistles? Because I heard one every morning between 1am and 5 am. There are train tracks about 1/4 mile from hotel and you can hear it coming from miles away. 4. I called the front desk to have a razor sent to the room so I could shave after showering. I showered and after 25 minutes no razor. I walked to the front desk, explained the situation and got a razor. They offered no apology or explanation. I returned to my room and JUST as I finished shaving room service shows up with two razors and shaving cream. Really?! 5. The morning buffet posted outside the hotel restaurant distinctly said the buffet came with omelets and waffles made while you wait. Unfortunately, after deciding to eat at the hotel instead of in downtown Asheville the waitress informed us that the don't serve either entrees when they "don't have enough people staying at the hotel". 6. Do you like other people's conversations? Because the walls don't muffle the noise from other rooms or the hallway. I will give kudos the the bar/grill. The food was great and they didn't skimp anything on the meat on my sandwich or fries. Overall, I suggest going staying somewhere else. This place is not worth the price.
“Comfortable”
Comfortable beds and delicious breakfast buffet!
“Nice Hotel”
Had read mixed reviews, but this hotel was fine! Not over the top nice...but CLEAN, ROOMY, neat, the staff was very FRIENDLY and ready to answer questions. The lobby was beautiful, they had a workout room in the hotel and an extremely large fitness center beside it. I did notice on the second night we were near train tracks and a train went through....I wondered why they provided earplugs. I only heard it once though.
“Would recommend to others”
great hotel with all inclusive amenities; very close to downtown Asheville. However, the rooms don't have scenic views of the mountains nor city.
“Very satisfied”
the rooms were very comfortable and clean, I would return to this hotel
“Stop dodging accountability”
We booked this hotel through Expedia. We selected a "King Executive" for our stay, the last day of our vacation. Upon arrival, we were directed to a room. It had two double beds. We went back to the front desk, where we were told that they didn't have any "King Executive" rooms, and we were given a regular King room. Fine, whatever. I called Expedia to resolve the price difference, who thoughtfully called the hotel - and suddenly, there was a King Exec available. What the heck? We called the manager, who apologized profusely, brought a treat personally, and assured us there would be no more trouble. Okay, fine, three rooms in one day. We ordered room service. An hour passed, and we called the manager again, who told us a new person had taken our order and forgotten our name and room number. The meal was comped, which was nice, but still - we were unhappy with our stay. While I'm sure this is a one time occurrence, it still is a black mark on the hotel. I have Expedia to thank for salvaging what could have been an awful experience.
“OK to retrieve your child from a local summer camp”
Convenient only if you are retrieving your child from a summer camp around Asheville, NC. Lighting not the greatest
