“Great for 1-2 nights”
The hotel room was clean and neat and breakfast was excellent for the price. The rooms were however extremly small and the beds were very hard. I wouldn't reccomend staying here for an extended stay but for 1 or 2 nights it was all we needed.
“Good place to stay for the value”
This was our first time staying here, and the place was clean and the staff was friendly. The place was quiet, except for when someone in the floor above flushed the toilet in the middle of the night. This place was a good value for an overnight stay. In addition, it was convenient to the places we were going to visit (Biltmore, shopping, etc). If we need a place to stay overnight in the Asheville area, we would stay here again.
“Dissappointed”
Judging by the reviews, my wife and I couldn't wait to stay at Brookstone. We were visiting Biltmore the next day and when we arrived we were very excited at how close we were to the village. When we entered the hotel for our 2 night stay we were impressed with the lobby and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. We were also very happy when they provided us with a corkscrew. However when we arrived at our room, we couldn't be more disappointed. The room was the size of a large closet, was inches from the elevator and faced the highway. We did not sleep well either night between the multiple people arriving at the elevator that we could hear very clearly through the paper thin door, or the cars and trucks passing by our room constantly. Not to mention the full bed they tried passing off as a queen. It was very hard and not a good nights sleep at all. The staff was friendly and the cleaning service was nice, but there was only so much they could do to make up for the terrible room and bed. In spite of the good service, I would not stay again nor would I recommend this place to anyone.
“Great hotel at great price”
The bedroom and bathroom were both large and very clean. Good shower and decent breakfast. Terrific hotel for the price.
“inroom jacuzzie was wonderful”
We live in the Mtn of NC was just looking for a little get away. Brookstone fit the bill. Room was very comfortable. We had the room with the Jacuzzie. It was so relaxing at the end of the day to use. Our clock was not working correctly and the staff was quick to replace it. Staff also was quick to help us with directions to places. Would stay here again.
“Great Asheville hotel”
Although the room was very small it was very nicely appointed and clean. I would stay there again, and if I go back to Asheville in the spring as I plan, I will stay there again.
“Not recommend this hotel”
We stayed there for 2 nights on vacation. The man at front desk looked very un happy to see us on our first check in in the evening. We usually shall ask the concierge for local info, but not in this hotel. The man at front desk on the second day was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is Ok. But they forgot to clean our room. We called to ask why. The housekeeper said we had a "do not disturb" on, but actually we didn't. She must have lied. We ended up with making our own bed that night. The pillows are too high and we both felt neck pain after the 1st night sleep. We asked for a lower one the next day, but they didn't have any. There is no shower cap, nor body wash in the room. The shampoo has no conditioner. Very limited and cheap choices. Fortunately, we read about one side room of this hotel facing the highway were noisy, so we asked for a room not facing the highway. We were not bothered by the noise. I'll not choose to live in this hotel again.
“Basic comfort”
Comfortable clean beds, bathroom, lobby. Locally owned, friendly. parking close by. No frills just the basics. I would return again.
“Nice, clean hotel!”
This is a newer hotel. It was clean and had everything - refrigerator, microwave, and flat screen TV. No complaints. The bathroom had granite counter tops and walls. Nice and clean. The breakfast in the morning had yogurt, fruits, toast, bagels, waffles, supermarket muffins, scrambled eggs, juices, milk, and coffee/tea. It was really close to the Biltmore House, the city of Asheville itself, as well as the highway. If I came to the area again, I wouldn't mind staying there.
“Frank E”
The Hotel is close to the road...so if you sleep in the front towards the road and hwy you get a lot of road noise....also you can hear people getting up and taking their at 5 in the morning. The hotel is very clean rooms are great ...the people who check you in were unfriendly...
