I was in Arundel for work and I took my wife with me so that she could spend a day looking around the town. The St Mary's Gate Inn was the perfect place to stay. At £95/night it was not the cheapest, but we were very happy with the comfortable and nicely-furnished room, and the quiet location next to the cathedral, just a short walk from the town centre. The staff were extremely welcoming, and both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Highly recommendable.
Very friendly, chatty owners give the b & b a lovely cosy feel, nothing was too much trouble. Nice and close to the beach. Very good road network to travel in any direction.
The breakfast was very tasty and there was plenty of it.
The room was lovely and clean and had everything you would need.
The hotel was a great stopover so i could attend the goodwood festival of speed my wife stayed in little hampton and the staff looked after her every needs The publican was great the food awesome and the staff brilliant i will be back for sure
We were really impressed with the way this hotel made the most of what it has. It would have been good to have a larger room but room size was fixed long ago in this old inn. The current owners made sure that it was as comfortable as possible. The food was first rate and service could not have been better.
We stopped in this hotel when taking our daughter to Chichester University. It was located in a small village, quiet and out of the way.
On arrival we were escorted to our room which was lovely room with private facilities. The room was scrupulously clean with the wonderful smell of new bedding. The bathroom was of a good size with goodies to use in the shower during our stay. The bed was comfortable with enough pillows for another two adults to share the room! Even bathrobes and slippers were available. There was a restaurant on site but we didn't sample the evening meal. However, if the breakfast was anything to go by, I am sure it would have been fantastic! There was a choice of juices, tea and coffee, plenty of cereals and fruit to choose from and a cooked English breakfast to boot! What a great start to the day!!
A wonderful hotel which we will stay at again when visiting our daughter.
