“For me? ... the Perfect place to stay!”

I have been to Aruba seven times and will continue to return every chance I get. It is truly One Happy Island! In my opinion? ... the Holiday Inn Sunspree is best value on the island. It is in the heart of Palm Beach which makes it easy to walk in either direction and access food, drinks and entertainment. May I suggest the Bugoloe on DePalm Pier? - awesome people, great food and evening entertainment. The all-inclusive is a great value if you enjoy having island drinks/beer during the day whiile enjoying the sun and sand (you will save money over the buy-as-you-go option). The food is good to average. If you prefer a high-end hotel this is not the best option for you. Yet, it is clean and the service is prompt and the people are great!

Area recommendations
If it is your first visit to Aruba, I would recommend one of the tours. You can see the entire island in two - half day excursions. The options are ATV, jeep, or even on horseback! A bus tour will limit you to staying on the pavement. The Lighthouse, Natural Pool, Baby Beach, DePalm Island and snorkeling to the sunken ship are highly recommended. The snorkeling is perfect for the first timer who wants to give it a try. The heavy salt content in the calm water and laying on a vest ... make it extremely comfortable adventure even for the non-swimmer! Any of the sunset adventures, on the water, give a beautiful view of the island. Each depart during daylight allowing you to enjoy the full sunset. Then, the water view of the lights back on land make it very enjoyable.

“A Horrible Experience”

We reserved and paid for a superior room and got a horribly dirty and smelly room which was still being "cleaned" when we got to the door. The AC came through a radiator and you could not control it. The view was that of the parking lot. We got no assistance from a rather rude and unfriendly staff at the front desk. There were multiple problems even getting into our room. They insist that you wear a bracelet the entire stay that you are there. The hangers in the closet were plastic and so were the cups for drinking water. This hotel is a total ripoff and we would NEVER, EVER book a stay here again. This is a poor excuse for a Holiday Inn.

“Very nice place for a vacation!”

Very nice place, very clean and organize. People who serve in the hotel are very friendly. All the things you need it's in the hotel. good service. Very well located.

“Great location, very nice beach”

I was not expecting very much based on some of the negative reviews I saw - and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were nice enough, and more than I expected for the price. The beach and activities were great, and the dining and shopping were all very close to the hotel. One day we took the bus downtown ($2.20 round trip) and wandered around, but liked the choices near our hotel a little better.

“The Friendly Island . . . .BUT not the friendly hotel”

Front desk of this hotel was a disgrace to the most beautiful island I have ever visited. They need a lesson in customer service, or a new job. Terrible way to be introduced to a vacation.

Area recommendations
Palm beach and it's surroundings are awesome, convenient, and fun. Restaurants, shops, casinos, BEACHs, it's all right there.

“BEST SERVICE IN ARUBA”

We came to Aruba for 12 days only to have my back go out on the 3rd day and the well wisher from the staff and the service and help and the care they all gave my was above what i ever thought I could get from a hotel . From the 1st day the service and the friendliness was outstanding and we will come back

“Holiday Inn: feels like home.”

It feels like home to us because we have the same tranquility we are used to at home. The moment you get at the hotel you get the sensational feeling of vacation. It is a very friendly environment and the people at the hotel are also friendly. From the balcony we had a nice view on the beach, on the garden and the street. We appreciate that we could have a non-smoking room. It has been now for a long time that when we go to Aruba we stay in the Holiday Inn, since the 90-ties. We will always recommend the Holiday Inn for a short stay or a long stay.

“Hands down, best vacation ever.”

Service and entertainment was excellent. One elevator was broken, making it a long wait for the other elevator. Bathroom walls were not as clean as they could be.

“Changed over the years”

I stayed at the Holiday Inn SunSpree several years ago & loved it. I went back to Aruba in 2008 @ another resort, but liked how the area around Holiday Inn had built up so much & was anxious to go back. Well the surrounding area is nice, new mall, movie theater, new shops & restraunts, but the Holiday Inn went down hill. Pool area, & Beach were dirty. Staff was rude. I will book again through Expedia again, but change the Hotel selection
