“The Highlight of our Trip to Costa Rica”
Nayara Hotel was fantastic. Everything you could ask for with the most friendly, attentive, bilingual staff you could imagine. Although we weren't there long the staff really bent over backwards to make sure our experience in Costa Rica was the best it could be. They arranged transfers to San Jose, arranged all of our activities, made suggestions and engaged us in friendly conversation when we looked like we needed help. When we had a chunk of the day after checking out with no room to stay in they even offered us a room for a few hours to relax in at no charge. Really couldn't have been more helpful. And we loved the wine bar!!
“Wonderful place!”
This hotel is amazing! Located in a wonderful area about 10 mins from town, each room is its own little bungalow with an outdoor shower and jucuzzi on the balcony/porch. And you can see the volcano from every room. When we got there we were greeted with a warm wet hand towel to refresh ourselves with and a glass of fresh juice. The grounds are so much fun to walk through. You find surprises around every corner. Dinner was amazing each time we went and the wine bar is so cute! I will definantly stay here next time we are in the area!
“Can't beat the room”
Great room. That being said, if you want a room with a VIEW of the Arenal volcano, make sure you confirm with the hotel that the view is not obstructed as it was in our room (room #1). Also, if you want to PEACEFULLY relax on your deck while in the hammock or the hot tub, make sure you get a room AWAY from the pool. Service was great, although slightly impersonal, throughout the hotel. The food ranged from good to very good, depending upon what you ordered. Outdoor shower was really nice. Overall, a really nice place to stay. Prior to staying at Nayara, we stayed at El Silencio del Campo, which was significantly less expensive. El Silencio was more casual (more of a "cabin" atmosphere), but the service was excellent (and more genuine). El Silencio also has it's own hot spring, which was great (and free of charge). So if your staying in the Arenal region for 5 nights or more and you're on somewhat of a budget (but still want to splurge at some point), do what we did in this order: 3 nights at El Silencio and 2 nights at Nayara.
“Gorgeous Hotel & Gardens”
This hotel does not disappoint! Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. The best part about it was the private porch/balcony, which offered an amazing view of Arenal Volcano and a very relaxing and romantic spot to unwind. You'd be crazy not to stay here!
“Nayara Hotel”
Outstanding Hotel. Service, amenities and spa were top notch. Would come back here again.
“Great Honeymoon”
Everything about this place is fabulous. The outdoor jacuzzi tub and hammock were heavenly, as was the outside shower. Gorgeous views of Arenal Volcano, beautiful flora surrounding the gardens, awesome heated pool with wet bar. Service was excellent. Perfect honeymoon spot!
“great hotel but it rains too much”
Everything about the hotel was great. But just be aware it rains A LOT even in the dry season. The joke is are two seasons in LaFortuna: the rainy season and the rainier season. Also be aware the the volcano was inactive during our stay Feb 2011 and has been been inactive since Oct 2010. And it is pretty much always covered with clouds anyway.
“Nayara - Luxury in the Rain Forest.”
Excellent hotel. Our room had a nice view of the volcano.. Excellent service. Very neatly maintained. Nayara is the best among all the hotels we stayed in CR.
“A great place to stay at Arenal”
Very large individual rooms in a garden setting and a very good restaurant and great breakfast that is included in the price. One of the best places in Arenal and Costa Rica reasonably priced.
“Wonderful Experience!”
Hotel Naraya was an amazing experience. We went there for our Honeymoon and it was perfect. The restaurant was great, a little pricey though. Every room has an amazing view of the volcano and a private bath tub. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and always clean. The pool was great!
