Super fun location. Be careful if you are driving a car-we had to pull the mirrors in at one point-not for the timid driver. Great location for the view and waking the town. Clean and great ambiance. Nice staff. Loved our stay here.

This hotel is amazing. An old convent converted into beautiful rooms that are immaculately clean and comfortable. But the best part are the balconies. Almost as big as the room itself, with brightly colored tiles, amazing views of the valley below and the cathedral and plenty of room for a table and chairs and two lounge chairs. Sitting out there on top of the world listening to the bells ring and watching the swallows was one of the most peaceful moments of our trip. We didn't want to leave.

We were greeted warmly by the hotel owner on arrival and given a welcome sherry while she processed the checking in paperwork, giving us time to explore the courtyard lobby, extensive library and computer room. We were upgraded to a superior room on the roof terrace, which had fabulous views.
Our room was full of character and a lovely size - exactly what we were hoping for. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet, so we had a wonderful sleep. Artisan toiletries were provided, adding another unique touch.
Breakfast was delicious; local treats and not just the usual buffet staples.
Other services available were tapas, a selection of local sherries, massage and yoga - unfortunately we were only there for a fleeting one night so did not experience these, but would hope to return and stay longer.
The walls are all adorned with artwork, making the hotel an interesting experience all round.
We had a nice stay at the old traditional farmhouse near Arcos de la Frontera.
Staff was very helpful and nice. The farmhouse was maintained very well. This is not a modern hotel with modern amenities, but rather historical farm house in middle of fields with nothing around where you can see the bright stars at night.
In a spectacular position high in the hills, this is the finest of all Andalusia’s ipueblos blancos/i (white villages). Its whitewashed labyrinthine old town climbs up and cascades back down the ridgeline. The main plaza is occupied by the town hall, two striking churches built on Arab fortresses, and an historic parador. One side of the square opens to a sweeping view over open countryside and a river gorge.
