"Great location and value for money"
Great location we had a room over looking the square which looked beautiful when it snowed. Lots of restaurants &!bars near by. Tea & coffee + a fridge, but no safe. Super market few doors down. Breakfast was €10 each very good value and cheaper than the cafes around. Choice of scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages, bacon, toast which you help yourself to, and as much tea & coffee as you like. Breakfast can get busy some days when everyone is out off to their excursions. The breakfast area doubles up as the Micro bar in the evenings which is popular and has a great selection of beers!

"Centrally located, close to everything"
Stayed here for five nights in April. Very happy with the location, everything we wanted to do is within a twenty minute walk. Several parking options nearby. The staff was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I would recommend a deluxe room, the extra space is worth the cost. The onsite dining options are worth a visit, though excellent restaurants are abound within walking distance. We already recommended this hotel to friends and family and when we return to Iceland for a summer vacation this is definitely where we will stay.

"Great Hotel in Good Location"
Reading previous reviews I was a little concerned about noise as I'm a light sleeper but had no problems at all. There was some traffic noise but hordes of drunken party goers weren't an issue at all! The room was very clean, the bed was comfy and the staff were excellent. The breakfast buffet, while not cheap, is excellent and if you fill up there a snack for lunch should do. Very good location for easy access to lots of sites and tours. I would definitely stay again.

"Central, homely, will be fabulous when finished"
I booked this place on a punt as where I usually stay was full. The common areas need a great deal of work as the new owners have been concentrating on upgrading the rooms since they took over the place in August 2014. When I initially arrived I did wonder what I had done (no reception so you have to call the number on the door for them to bring your key) but the room was lovely..looked like a boutique hotel with white linen, a wooden floor, high ceilings and large windows. The owners couldn't do enough to please and although they don't live on site, they are close by and will bring you what you need...they even brought Easter eggs to all the guests which was a nice touch. Just a couple of minor issues....the fact that there is no scheduled housekeeping meaning having to contact them by phone to ask them to clean the room/change the bon/change your sheets; going for days without the room being cleaned...or doing it yourself. Also, if you don't like noise - don't stay in the rooms facing the road as you'll be kept up until late (with revelers) and woken early (as they clean the streets)! I am sure that once they are fully up and running and have more staff, it will run like a fully functional guesthouse but for now, it served my purpose, was amazingly central, clean rooms, friendly owners and a good price.

"Excellent location and comfortable stay"
We truly enjoyed our stay in PA. It was so comfortable, bright, quiet, clean and open. It's walking distance to Reykjavik central, and close to pretty much anything you would like to do there. We had street view. I can't imagine how great would be to stay in rooms that have the harbour view. We would definitely go back there and stay in PA again. Eating out is pretty expensive in Iceland. Having fully equipped kitchen was very practical in am. It doesn't have receptionist or office yet the friendly owner was around if we want to ask any questions. One thing I could say is that It would be convenient to have a phone in a room to make local calls. We definitely recommend to have international phone data plan from your origin so that you can make calls when necessary in hotel or even on the road. Check out time is at noon. We booked a bus to pick up us from the apartment around 1pm. The owner was very flexible with 1pm check out. We highly recommended to stay in PA!
