Pleasant stay for our 10 year anniversary, hotel has no access by car , only by boat. We stayed during Monsoon season - very rainy. If boat gets cancelled due to high tides access is by "Monkey trail" steep climb & descent by wooden steps. My wife asked for hotel to repair some sections/make it safe and answer we got -The trail is in a national park, so hotel can't really help. Irony here , Centara has duty of care as for guests accessing hotel .
Rubbish - stayed in far West corner of resort, rubbish stored close by n stench can be smelled from our "spa" balcony. While I'm on this topic - Rubbish dumped on "said" Monkey trail start.
On a positive side, excellent service by staff, very friendly and courteous. Enjoyed restaurants dining. Our favorite was "On the rocks" - relax by beach most evenings sipping cocktails.

We arrived at the hotel and there was a mix up with our reservation, but they upgraded us to a room with the bedding we booked.
The rooms are spacious and well made, they offer great towels and shower soap, toothbrushes ect. The resort staff are really friendly. Being a big resort if they see you walking along they will pick you up and drive you to another part of the resort which you need to go to.
The hotel has its own private beach, but the Ao Nang public beach is a 3-5 min walk away. The nightlife is right outside the resort and it is close to all tour bookings and tail boat ride ticket booth is about 200m away from the resort. The tour desk at the resort is just as good. The pool bar is great and the cocktails are very good. Look out for their happy hour at the pool bar 4-6pm 50% off all drinks. I would stay here again and probably will when I return to Krabi at the end of the year.
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and wish it had been for longer. The staff were fantastic, the room was beautiful with stunning views of the cliffs and the water below and the setting was wonderfully peaceful. The food was also fantastic and great value!
Excellent bedding, decent breakfast. Upgraded to a higher class room. Disappointed because no separate shower in the bathroom. I don't like taking a shower in a bath tube. Friendly staff. Quiet location but for me too far from the beach. They have free shuttle to the beach but on a holiday I don't like to plan things. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Had a one week stay this month (room 221) and can confirm all the other positive reviews, the rooms are clean and the hotel well located for all your activities around Krabi. Bars, restraunts and mini marts literally only 50 meters down the street. The only negative would be the hard bed and may be an issue for the less mobile because of all the stairs as this hotel is built on the side of a hill.

While the location and grounds of the resort were great, the hotel is a bit worn and in disrepair. The rooms were not very clean (lights covered in grime and dust, spiderwebs, rust stained porcelain) and the food and services were mediocre.
We've stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions since 2006. The rooms are of a reasonable size and the air-con is welcome after a hot day out. Facilities are good for the price and, given that Thailand is supposedly "3rd world" there's nothing to complain about.
Cheerful, helpful and responsive staff sorted out a couple of minor problems (blown light bulb part way through the stay and the maid forgot to leave beach towels once) promptly and courteously.
This former fishing village in central Krabi Province still retains some traditional charm. A 10-minute boat ride takes travellers to Railay Beach for rock climbing and snorkeling. Other day trip options include island-hopping cruises to outer islands such as James Bond Island from The Man with the Golden Gun.
