“Convenient diamond district hotel”

Good, reasonably priced business hotel in the heart of Antwerp's diamond district.

“A comfortable and convenient base once I had found it”

I walked past this hotel twice before finding it - travellers should note that most of the external signage uses the name Sandton Hotel The room felt a bit like someones spare room, given the state of the paintwork and various fittings, but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The en suite was spacious, modern and well kitted-out. The room was air conditioned and so was the breakfast room (to which you have access to all day for tea and coffee) - which was welcome as temperatures ~30 degrees C when I was staying there. Range of breakfast buffet the best I have had in a 3* hotel in the continent. Location is within easy walking distance Antwerpen Centraal rail station and a stop journey on the underground tram to the city centre.

Very nice,clean place.Looks like it was recently refurbished.Nice wood floors in the room.Reception staff courteous and in good sprits.Good breakfast service.

“Tourist hotel in Antwerp close to the station”

The Mondo Eden Hotel Antwerpen is located close to the central station, that means it's not in the old city center. Groete Markt and the Schelde are about 30-40 minutes walking, yet it's a nice walk mostly in pedestrian areas. Room was simple and essential but clean and really quite during the night. Bathroom was reasonably big with a large and comfortable shower. Breakfast buffet offers different choices and it's served in a nice dining room. If you want to spend a few days in Antwerpen, get a good value for a reasonable price and travel by train, Mondo Eden can be a your choice.

“Empfehlenswertes Hotel mit Einschränkungen”

Lage und Freundlichkeit des Personals sehr gut;Zum Übernachten sehr gut geeignet(Ruhe,Komfort der Betten).Ausstattung sehr einfach,weniger geht kaum.Sauberkeit nur oberflächlich gegeben.Frühstücksbuffet in Ordnung. Insgesamt empfehlenswert,wenn man anAusstattung und Sauberkeit keine Ansprüche stellt.

“Sandton Antwerp Hotel: in potentie leuk stadshotel”

Ondanks het reserveren van een parkeerplaats en een telefonische bevestiging daarvan, was deze niet beschikbaar, terwijl dit voor ons een belangrijk criterium was bij de keuze voor dit hotel. De openbare parkeergarage ligt op slechts 50 meter, maar door het eenrichtingsverkeer betekende dat wel meer dan een half uur omrijden door een zeer druk centrum. Vervolgens deed de sleutel van de kamer het niet. Al met al heeft het inchecken meer dan een uur extra gekost. De reactie van achter de receptie was bepaald niet hartverwarmend. Terwijl ik aan het parkeren was kreeg mijn vrouw bijvoorbeeld niet de sleutel omdat ik nog perse zelf moest tekenen. Verder zaten er echter veel vriendelijkere mensen. De kamers en het ontbijt zijn verder goed in orde. Met een beetje adequaat personeel zou dit een prima hotel zijn. Misschien hebben we dus pech gehad, maar onze eerste indruk was dus negatief. Daarna hebben we een tamelijk probleemloos verblijf gehad, met uitstekende bedden op de kamer (een aparte vermelding waard).

ER zouden meer van dit hotels in steden moeten zijn. Prijs/kwaliteit heel goed. Schoon, eindelijk een keer laminaat op de vloer van slaapkamer, dit is toch veel achoner dan vloerbedekking. Alleen t hotel is moeilijk te vinden omdat de naam onduidelijk is opgehangen. Maar hier komt verandering in.
