“Not up to usual standard”
This was our third visit to the hotel but, unfortunately, I cannot rate it as highly as I have done previously. There seemed to have been a high turnover of staff and, unlike the previous staff, the new staff did not seem to know how to communicate with each other. The room we were given was not up to the standards of previous rooms we had been given. There were two single beds instead of a double, there were no bedside tables, one light did not work and the light over the bed had been broken and taped up. On the plus side, we were informed that the hotel is to be completely renovated in January 2012 in line with my previous recommendations. Breakfast was still to the high standards as previously.
“Until the next time”
This was our second visit and I can see no reason to change my last review. Looking forward to our next visit, if we can get in, because it's very often booked up.
“Good value Hotel.”
Excellent Hotel. Ample, clean rooms. Good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Good location. What more can you ask? Seems to be under-rated at 2*. Only things, I can think of, that could be improved are the installation of central heating (although efficient heaters are provided) and the provision of tea/coffee making facilites in the rooms. Wil certainly stay at the hotel again.

Cons: 1. Promised early check in. Not provided 2. First room given was w/o telephone. 3. Internet is not existent in rooms. 4. Rooms old, no view, shower curtain moldy - got changed after asking Pros: 1. Staff awesome, everyone helpful, polite, apologetic regarding Internet 2. Local is awesome 3. Breakfast is good
“Location, location, location”
The Hotel Cammerpoorte is so close to the tourist centre of Antwerp that it could not be beaten for anything like the price - 5 minutes walk to the Groenmarkt. It is not 4* - but we knew that when we booked it. It is in a little need of TLC - but the facilities all worked, the bed was comfortable (and large) and the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.
“Great location and awesome staff”
The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. 5 minute walk to the centre and most attractions. Excellent laudromat half way to the main square. Secure parking (about 15 Euros for overnight stay.
“Gute Lage für Fussgänger”
Wenn man das Hotel nur zum schlafen braucht und mit einem einfachen Frühstück ohne Schnickschnack und Pomp zufrieden ist, dann ist das Hotel ok. Es ist nicht zu empfehlen, wenn man mehr möchte als nur ein Bett und ein eigenes Bad. Die Gegend ist super und sehr zentral - man ist gleich mittendrin.

“Très bien situé mais à rafraîchir...”
Hôtel très bien situé à 2 pas de la cathédrale dans le centre historique. Accueil très sympathique. Très bon petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet complet. Les chambres seraient cependant à rénover !!! Mais bon, pour un court séjour où on privilégie l'emplacement pour la découverte de la ville, c'est un bon choix.
“Scorretti”
All'arrivo mostrano un cartello che non funziona la carta di credito e chiedono soldi in contanti. Se avete un bimbo al seguito già registrato nella prenotazione vi chiedono soldi in più come se fosse un adulto presentatosi all'improvviso. Positiva la posizione molto centrale.
