“Good Hotel, Good Location Good price”

The Hotel is basic, but Good central location, Good price, and for a couple of days in teh town should suit most business or leisure travelers on a budget!

“Staff training issue?”

Reception staff seemed a bit confused. They checked us in and then tried to check another guest into our room as well. This meant we were locked out of our room when returning from dinner. No apology was given and we were made to wait to sort out the keys while the staff first took phone calls from other customers. More than once we were told our expectations were too high for a three star hotel.

“Nearby Central station; nothing fancy”

Astoria was a fair hotel for the price. We slept well and were comfortable. Room basic and tidy though not "deep-clean" and certainly not newly furnished. Breakfast buffet basic but good. Had special Kosher section. Staff pleasant and professional. Neighborhood rather seedy. Location less than a 10-minute walk from Central Station, and down the block from a pretty, pleasant park.

“Nice Anwerp Hotel”

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and after a quick detour managed to find it. The check in staff were very friendly and gave me a free map and directions for the town's places of interest. Would stay there again in future.

“Shame about the air con!”

A nice hotel, located near to the Station area, but far enough away, so there is not too much hussle and bussle outside. There is a lovely park at the end of the street, perfect for clearing your mind after a night on the Belgian Beer!! There is a good selection of breakfast, which is free. A nice touch. My only fault with the Hotel is that the air conditioning in the room is poor. It never seemed to cool the room down, even though it was left on all night with the window closed. If they imporved that, then the hotel would be perfect!

“Great experience”

Being in Antwerp you dont need to be in your hotel room much but here when you are you find it clean, comfortable and staff very helpful. One of the better hotels in Antwerp. June 2009.

“Good value”

Upside - good location - 10 min walk fron Centraal station and Roosevelt Platz - good sized clean rooms - basic but plentiful breakfast Downside - no restaurant or bar but plenty of establishments within 10-20 min walk I have used this hotel 3 times in the last 2 years and will happily use it again

“good hotel location”

A clean hotel, large rooms, comfortable bed, nice TV although difficult to use as it had a keyboard and the remote was not easy. Breakfast a bit disappointing as there was no fruit but had lots of everything else, including Kosher (we were there over passover). There was a nice view over the park although our room did not see it. Quiet and newly refurbished. The manager asked us how were enjoying our stay. We did discuss the breakfast and they had to stop some of the food as people were taking it outside for lunch!
