“Save yourself from disappointment”
So this is my first review ever, I've traveled all over and dozens of time to te islands..and I have to say that this hotel was by far the worst. It's dirty, boring, and is managed very poorly. The food was mediocre and limited. The only thing that saved this resort was its beautiful beach. It was breath taking but otherwise save yourself from wasting a trip on this roach motel.
“relaxing holiday”
After travelling for 36 hours, there ia no better place to have a relaxing break than at Jolly Beach Hotel and Spa
“Jolley Beach is nice”
Jolly Beach was a nice place for the money. The pool bar was nice and hotel staff very friendly. If you are staying in Antigua then I would reccommend it. Antigua is beuatiful and the beaches are the best in the world.but the country is not far advanced. If staying in Antigua Jolley Beach is the way to go.
“Best Beach Ever But Hotel Needs a Serious Update”
The beach at Jolly Beach Resort was the best. Beautiful water, lots of beach to walk and activities to enjoy. Hotel rooms need an update. Bathroom is way too small. Air conditioning barely worked. Food was okay- restaurants need to have better offerings- buffet was superb for every meal. Did not get enough towels in the room daily for showers. Bring your own cups- they offer great drinks but in tiny plastic cups. Take plenty of money for excursions.
“We would go back”
Very nice staff, serve with a smile. Very helpfull. We recommend it to others. We like it and would go back.
“Antigua Jolly Beach Resort & Spa NOT IMPRESSED”
I have travelled the World and stay in the fines to the worse hotels but knew up front what I was paying for. Jolly Beach Resort & Spa is over rated, over priced. This is my first review ever but I think you need to know before you book at this hotel. The hotel is rated 3 stars and should be rated 2 stars. There are no elevators so be prepared to carry your suitcase up 3 flights of stairs and back down again, corridors are very narrow. The drive from the airport is roughly 40 minutes and the roads are in terrible shape, too many pot holes. I pre paid for an Ocean view room and didn’t get it. Furniture in my room was outdated. The pillowcases never changed on my bed, eye make up all over. No room service, no mini bar, no taxi on hand I had to pre book and paid $30.00 US to go back to the airport. All inclusive means buffet meals only at the only restaurant at the hotel, so you had no choice but to eat here. The beach front is very small and not clean and the hotel is location far from everything. The only positive thing I can say is the staff at the buffet restaurant are very friendly. I would never stay here again. SGH
“points off for old resort, what a shame, staff, & food was good”
We were originally booked for Xmas & New Years but the East Coast weather cancelled that trip. Good thing too, it was twice as expensive. We got half of our money back and I would have been sooooo disappointed, if we had arrived there at those prices. Lets start on a positive note: Food & staff made up a little for the very, very, old resort. We never had a problem with the menu or choices of activities. Now on the negative side: I have never been to a more out- dated hotel, and although we didn't have to change rooms other guests did. I inquired if there was a more updated room, that I could be changed to, I was told no, that the resort was old by the reception staff. The beach look beautiful reminiscent of Aruba, but NO on second thought the water was full of sea weed, rocks etc. I was told that the jet skis and motorized water sports were the reason for some many things touching my feet and legs under water. Since I couldn't see what was brushing against my legs, it creeped me out so I gave up on enter the water after a while. Shame the water looked gorgeous. Tip: if accomodations aren't that important and you're looking for an all inclusive vacation, than Jolly Beach Resort is for you.
“Relaxing Beach Vacation”
Loved my stay at Jolly Beach. Went for the sun and the beach and was NOT dissappointed. Beatiful Views of the sea from all over the resort. Resort was not a 5 star...so dont expect that. Yes the rooms were small, but very quaint and clean. The food was good and the staff were friendly. The beach was gorgeous and the pools were nice. Ate at the restaurants available..enjoyed all my meals and service was excellent...they keep filling up your wine glass! Really have no complaints about resort...but if your looking for a modern 5 star resort and to be waiting on ..this may not be your place. If you want a relaxing , casual no effort beach vacation...this is it.
“Beach was beautiful. Was not impressed with food or service at any of their restaurants.”
room was not ready and not acceptable for price paid. Was put in a out of the way location without any view until I complained. They offered a better view but a lesser value room. They said I would have to sign a disclaimer to get that room. I arrived at noon and finally got shown the initial room at 3:OO. It took until 4:OO and a tip to get an acceptable room.
“Nice place to stay.”
The hotel room was functional (not special) but the resort grounds, beach, restaurants were great. Our first trip to the island and to an all-inclusive and we enjoyed it.
