“New regulars”
Saff were really friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again and would certainly recommend to family and friends.
“First time in Antigua”
We chose Dickenson Bay Cottages because we didn't want an all-inclusive hotel deal, preferring to choose where to eat and drink as we travelled around the island. The 'cottages' are fine (if a little tired around the edges) - but don't expect a thatched roof and picket fence here. Staff were all relaxed, friendly and sorted cars etc. We have previously been to Barbados a couple of times but hadn't been to Antigua before. Generally I'd say that Barbados is more developed as a destination (which is probably a mix of good and not so good), and the people a bit smilier and the public transport a lot better, but we'd go back to Antigua - it's a fascinating mix with some great beaches and a lot of pride and potential.
“Not much service”
This is not a hotel. It consists of a group of two story cottages arranged around a pool.I arrived on the evening flight and the hotel personnel were long gone. They are only present during office hours. I was just given a key by the security guard. The guard did not know the login for the internet nor could be help me on anything else. I had called them earlier in the day repeated times to verify the location but no one answered the phone. that being said, the rooms were big (2 story) with kitchen
“Outstanding comfort and value”
Dickinson Bay Cottages is a very comfortable set of nicely landscaped cottages around a pool on a hillside about a 10 minute walk above Dickinson Bay. The cottages include a patio, a large living area with kitchen along one wall, and a very sizable loft bedroom. They include a/c and ceiling fans; are exceptionally well-maintained. The proprietor is on the property daily and all staff are friendly and helpful. Dickinson Bay is the home of the Sandal's and two other resorts, but is a long stretch of beach and was not at all crowded, even on days that cruise ships were in docked in Antigua. The Bay has water sports rentals and is served by Catamarans island tours and snorkling, etc. For dining, the OPUS, a 3 minute walk from the cottages proved to be a real gem for a variety of food excellently prepared and served by a friendly staff. A trip to Shirley Heights for the Sunday afternoon-evening music is also a must. Overall, found the island friendly for a relaxing 10 days and the Cottages an exceptional value. Would definitely recommend them for those seeking a quite, relaxing setting, close to but removed from an active beach.
“Glad I stumbled upon this place.”
Nicer place than i imagined and saw on the internet. Quiet, and had a neiborhood sort of feel. Pool is nice and cleaned, and I mean cleaned every day. Parking could have been an issue if everone had separate vehicles. Parked on the street with no problems. A couple minute walk from the beach. I would rate this place a 8 out of 10, but would rate it higher if they had better kitchen tools. The owners should invest in a blender, frying pans, and steak knives, and you have the perfect condo for your next vacation. We really enjoyed our stay. And P.S. the cleaning ladies were the best. Informative about the island, and friendly.
“Tremendous Value Hotel from an experienced budget traveler”
I;ve visited 88 countries in the world. This hotel is one of the best values I have ever experienced. I would not hesitate to return. The ONLY trouble was the half mile walk down a steep hill to the beach. Otherwise it was terrific.
“Holiday in Antigua”
The accommodation was great, except for the insect bites when we ventured outside in the evening!!
“site très agréable”
confortable, fonctionnel, propre, et très tranquille. Bon acceuil, nous y retournerons sans problème. Mais il faut avoir une voiture

Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda: This English-speaking island was once Great Britains most important Caribbean outpost. Now, the coral reefs that attracted the Royal Navy make the island a paradise for snorkelers and scuba divers, and the winding coastline features numerous secluded, sandy beaches.
