“Nothing better comes next!”
If you are looking for spectacular views, silence, romance etc. then book it immediately. We loved it and are afraid, that we barely will find this incredible package deal anywhere else again.
“Great service ! Thank you to all people working there.”
We were impressed with the kindness of the employees of the hotel !!! There really is an effort on making the client feel comfortable. The music every night from the Jolly Beach Resort is really a major problem though. For some people "climbing up" to the rooms might be a little hard. Great experience overall ! The beach is beautiful, people are nice and gentle, food is really good, we strongly recommend it.
“Nice cottages”
Probably an ideal combination of semi-private accommodation and all-inclusive service. The beach is nice.
“Amazing romantic getaway”
My wife and I stayed at Cocos for our honeymoon. I planned it as a surprise to her, and she was very pleased with it to say the least! The hotel is small and secluded; this makes it very quiet and intimate, which is nice. The resort itself is situated on a hill at the end of a calm, beautiful beach. The beach was not crowded at all and had plenty of private seating for hotel guests. The private cabins are cozy and romantic. The view from our private balcony was spectacular! We sat out there every night and watched the sun set over the crystal blue water. Be wary if you are uncomfortable showering outdoors; however note that the shower is totally private so you will not have to worry about exposing yourself (we found showering outdoors to be quite relaxing). The food ranged from better than average some meals to fantastic for others, and overall was very good. The menu has enough variety that we never got sick of eating there, even though it is only the one restaurant. The bar is well-stocked and the bartenders will do their best to make any drink you want. Beer and wine selection is limited, but the ones they have are good enough to drink. The exceptional service is the best feature of this hotel! The entire staff are friendly and professional, and genuinely seem happy to be there. They will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. I highly recommend Cocos to any couple looking for a relaxing retreat. We plan to return as soon as we can!
“Relaxation at the beach in Antigua”
We had a very nice and relaxing vacation at Coco's. The resort is rustic but the staff is very friendlhy and helpful. The food was excellent. The scenery is picture perfect and the beach is beautiful. I would definitely go back.
“Paradise!!”
If you are looking for a family vacation with all of the activities (on the order of Sandals or Beaches) this is probably not for you. If you are looking for a low-keyed Caribbean experience, with a great beach and stunningly beautiful surrounds, this is the place. If you need more action, you can simply walk down the beach to get your "water toy fix" at the Jolly Harbour Resort. I will definitely return, next time spending more time relaxing at the hotel beach, with occasional trips out to Cades Reef to snorkel.
“Great place for relaxing”
This hotel is a wonderful place to stay for relaxing. Due to its small size, it is pretty personal, and one easily gets in contact with the staff. They are always superfriendly and superhelpful. All in all, we enjoyed our time there incredibly. A special good point about the hotel is its kitchen - really good food, presented nicely on the plates - if a chef has/makes time for this, you already know it will be good. Only the breakfast is offered with less fantasy, but other than that, compliments to the cuisine. We never ate outside. One little thing that was a bit annoying is the neighbor hotel - a big party castle. It is far enough away with its people, but especially at night their loud music and, in particular, the superloud animators were just nerving. But all in all, this was a great stay at a great place - will recommend it to everybody who is interested to make a trip to the Caribbean.
“Private and relaxing”
Private, quiet, with gorgeous beach and amazing food. Note: do not choose Coco’s Hotel if you have any problems walking, the paths to the cottages are very steep and a certain level of fitness is needed. Also, Coco’s is a small private hotel in the European sense and *not* a resort. Many of the guests return to Coco’s every year which speaks volumes. It was a pleasure to get to know some of the other guests, and the managers were fluent in German and Italian as well as English. The pool is nice but no one uses it because the beach is so beautiful. Our cottage (#16) was very rustic - think Adirondack - but the view south and of Montserrat was spectacular. Would recommend A/C but didn’t need it in February. No mosquitoes but sand fleas were nasty. There was always a pair of cushioned beach lounge chairs available and umbrellas and Coco’s is at the quiet end of the beach. Afternoon tea on the beach became a ritual. Security was excellent. Snorkeling very disappointing, go to Antigua for the beaches. Trip to English Harbor was fun but very crowded, go when the cruise ships are not in port. The island is gorgeous and pictures do not do it justice. Travel note: our trip to Antigua was problematic and Expedia customer support was extremely helpful in getting us sorted out. Kudos to USAir as well after Continental dumped us in their lap.
“Very relaxing atmosphare”
First impression when leaving the taxi at the hotel parking lot was a little bit shocking but inside the hotal gate, everything changed to the positive. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice cottages with outside showers-try to get one with aircondition and a hammock. The view from the cottage was great. The beach was nice-except the sand flies and mosquitoes (bring insect repellent and anti itch). The food was excellent - big variety every day. Premium liquor was offered in the restaurant, lounge area as well as on the beach. There is no TV, radio or internet in the cottages. The only internet acces was in the reception area.
“definitely paradise for a couple”
I travel a lot! But this was the first time in my life, that the photos of the hotel on web sites and expectations of the real picture were totaly exceeded!!! On web sites the Hotel is not bad, but when you come there I'll say OH MY GOD!!
