“Not Impressed”
Reserved a room with two beds, got a room single bed; then was told addional blankets and pillows would be sent up yet they nver arrived....you can find a better location close by.
“Nice in Annapolis”
Nicely renovated and super clean. Very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Very good location right off U.S. Route 50, within walking distance to many restaurants and the Annapolis Mall. Planning to stay there again on my next business travel.
“Good rate for Annapolis”
good price for Annapolis
“Dreadful by Sheraton standards”
This place is literally located behind the dumpster of a Fuddrucker's. But it was Boat Show weekend, and we needed a place, and it was a Sheraton. The place is simply NOT up to standard. We did not receive our requested king room - but my brother, checking in hours later, did. (We are a gay couple.) As a make-good, we were given access to the "Club Lounge," which was amazingly shabby - no tea selection, no hot water, and no spoons - that was all true one morning. The door trim for the "Club" was coming off, the hallway carpets were filthy, and our bathroom was Basic Minus.
“expensive but nice”
Price was high but it was a really busy weekend and other hotels not available. Also, location was not ideal- not close to downtown or to the stadium, both places we needed to get to... but then the shuttle and cab service almost made up for this.
“Just ok”
Usually Sheraton properties are high quality. However, this location seemed to need some cosmetic updating & maybe a thorough cleaning. The carpet in the hallway was stained and torn in several places and the fifth floor had a damp odor like a wet basement. When I entered my room it smelled awful & I will attribute that to the horrible smell coming from the fridge in the room! It smelled like something died in there!! The fourth floor room I had the week before was MUCH better. The staff was very courteous and the location of the hotel was excellent! It is convenient to the Anne Arundel medical center, several restaurant, fantastic shopping and it is easy to access highways to DC & Baltimore & surrounding locations. Also, you are approximately 20 minutes to BWI.
“Great place to stay!”
Greeted by friendly staff upon arrival. Gave good information about local eateries, shopping and shuttle service. Shuttle service very helpful in getting around Annapolis, quickly and efficiently. Drivers made rides fun and gave good info about places to see and other places to eat in town. Loved the cool flavored waters always waiting in the lobby upon our returns from town. Many available computers in lobby for guest use. Our room was cleaned quickly and efficiently. Always very neat. We will stay here next time we are in town.
“Angela”
Check in was smooth and friendly. There were lots of dining options close to the hotel, many within walking distance. There was also a Trader Joe's close by if you like to shop there as well as a shopping mall. Our Mapquest directions were a little confusing but it was actually easy to access off of the highway. We were back on the highway the next morning heading for the Bay Bridge and we were probably only 5 minutes further west than we have been in previous stays in the area.
“Slightly run down - needs some upgrades”
Staff and neighborhood are great. Hotel is older and allows pets in some rooms which makes some of the floors smell like animals- not very pleasant.
“Sheraton is still on the WILL RETURN list”
Having stayed at the Sheraton several times in the past, we noticed that it needs a little "revamping" ..... such as elevator renovations ( painting, dusting, signage and such ) and some room improvements. The Desk staff was excellent - friendly and cheerful..... and even upgraded our room to the Club Level, but for some reason, the room had a "funky" smell each time we opened the door ?!???! which remained through our entire 3-night stay....the air-conditioner was exceptionally noisey and the curtains on the window were torn and unable to close completely, which we reported to management but nothing was done about it during our stay...also bottled water and ice bucket/trash can liners were never replenished . We also had to ask for Housekeeping to refresh our room on the second day after we came back about 3:00 in the afternoon and finding it the same as when we left in the morning.l.....HOWEVER, beds and linens and cleanliness of the room made up for lack of the other "stuff.". We think this lovely Sheraton is in need of a minor overhaul and she will return to her status as an excellent hotel both in service and appearance.
