“Looks like it hasn't been updated since 1960, even the executive rooms”

Looks like it hasn't been updated since 1960, even the executive rooms. I realize that it is currently under rennovations, but it is probably the oldest looking Holiday Inn I have seen, and they tend to look the same. It is not cheap for the area, so I expected more, and I did stay in the executive room. It was still very average. The location was great, close to the University of Michigan, right beside lots of really nice little cafes (Umi for Japanese food, and lots of other varieties for American food). I suppose it is OK for a quick visit on business - really average, but don't expect too much if you're used to other modern Holiday Inns. This one really needs a make-over.

“Its OK....”

Room was comfortable though well used. Water leaked out the handles when you turned on the bathroom sink. Shower head was loose from the wall. Bed was comfortable and temperature was nice. Room was clean. Indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub was a big hit with the family but again well used. Biggest beef was with the restaurant. Came in after a long day of travel...about 7:45. Ordered food and waited...waited...waited. Almost walked out. Took 50 minutes for our order. Server told us several times the food would be right out or was almost done. Asked for the manager who was very polite and understanding. Explained that they had been slammed earlier. I explained that would have been ok if we had been told... we could have ordered an appetizer or snack. Giving us hungry travelers false info that the food was almost there and then wait another 20 minutes didn't help. Manager said she would talke with the server about communication. The bill was adjusted and when the food came out it was fresh, really hot and good.

“Nice hotel, good price, convenient location”

Got a good deal on-line for a Holiday Inn. Comfortable, good condition, clean. Convenient location right off highway 23 to get to Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti. Nice sports bar. The indoor/outdoor heated pool was fun. Took a swim outside with snow falling.

“Nice, but too far away.”

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. It was quiet and had good service. It was, however, further from downtown Ann Arbor than I would like to have been. If you don't mind the drive to town or to campus, then this place should fit your needs well.

“Just OK Nothing Special”

Hotel was fine, could use an over-all up-date and if you expect any thing extra such as coffee in the lobby or any kind of continental breakfast you will be disappointed
