“Enjoyed our stay”

We stayed at this hotel last week. The room was comfortable and clean. Internet connectivity worked well. We were very satisfied and would recommend this hotel. Although free breakfast was provided, it was not appealing to us. Don't know why. Perhaps it was the plastic plates and forks.

“Very impressed by hotel and area”

Four of us stayed three nights and had a wonderful time. Beds were so soft and comfortable you never wanted to get out. We enjoyed the pool patio area by nights and had a wonderful stay. We will stay here again next year.

Area recommendations

Main street and State street down town is a must see for the trip out. Old town feel but very clean and safe. We took a cab down town and enjoyed the local attractions. Blocks and blocks of fun.

The Hampton Inn was very easy to locate and close to the University of Michigan.The beds were exceptionally comfortable for an inexpensive hotel. Eat breakfast early, it's packed by 8:30am

“So glad we stayed there”

I have stayed at a number of Hampton Inns and always been very satisfied. This hotel met or exceeded my expectations for comfort and convenience in accommodations. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I was sorry not to have brought a swim suit as the pool and hot tub looked inviting. I did use the fitness facilities which were adequate. (There was also a personal fitness "kit" available from the front desk that had most everything one might require: weights, fitness ball, yoga mat, etc.)

“Standard hotel meeting expectations”

The choices of hotels in Ann Arbor (where my daughter is at U Mich) basically falls into 3 categories: standard chain hotels in the suburbs, a few downtown hotels that are convenient but rather expensive, or B&B's. I have tried several of the standard chain hotels... and honestly they have all been quite similar in performance. None of them outstanding, but also no disasters. Hampton Inn North did have friendly and helpful staff, the free breakfast was quite ok and varied (though the lobby area where it is can get rather crowded). The whole-day coffee and afternoon cookies were a nice and well-appreciated extra. The rooms were and especially the bed was comfy, though a bit dark due to the small window. Housekeeping did their job properly though they somehow missed my room on one day..... It takes about 10-15 min. to downtown AA by car, I wish there was something closer in this price range.

“Ann Arbor”

The Bed Was Great. Sheets were better than most rooms at this price. The front desk person was good and made all efforts to fix the heat and offered a room chg. We used the pull out bed and was given extra blanket and a space heater to stay warm. Ok for the price

“Great Hotel in North Ann Arbor”

This Hampton Inn is a very well located property in North Ann Arbor, MI. It nice, clean, well laid out is very freeway accessible. Situated around a few restaurants, drug stores, etc. as well. The rooms are a little small, but have a built in desk, nice layout, free wireless, etc. The hotel also offers a "hot breakfast" with eggs, a "meat" dish, waffles, roll, toast, etc. The staff is wonderful, friendly and professional. Able to direct you to places to go eat, etc.
