“Don't be fooled by the photos”
I don't know where they got the pictures for this hotel, but the reality was quite different. Cobwebs in the corners, carpet coming up off the floor (and in need of vacuuming, too), hallways and rooms poorly lit and musty. The safe in the room was broken and the "closet" is just an open stall. That said, reasonable price, quiet, safe, and a perfectly good breakfast. Room heater worked great on a very cold day, good water pressure in the shower. Good dining options nearby.
“Not outstanding but OK”
The property is old and is in need of some "sprucing up". The heater in our room was hard to adjust and as a result the room was either too hot or too cool. Our room was cleaned well every day and the housekeeping staff was very friendly. The swimming pool was in the hotel next door, making it necessary to walk through an ajoining hall and then outside to get into the pool and work out room. The breakfast was OK--nothing special. Location was great for our needs--close to the highway and easy to get to Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and Detroit.
“Last resort”
Stay here only if you can't find a decent deal ANYWHERE else. in terrible need of renovation,. carpet is nasty, rooms look like they are from the 80's, our mattress was v-shaped before anyone ever sat on it. light switch entering room didn't turn on any lights. Unless everything else is already booked, look elsewhere for a room.
“Avoid at all Costs”
When I arrived, heat was not on in room and it was freezing. With heat on maximum power room did not become tolerable until about 9pm. Most of the outlets in the room did not work, and so the TV and alarm clock did not work. When I asked at front desk for iron, they sent me to the cleaning room to ask for one, and the one they gave me did not work. The hotel has an unpleasant odor, and the grounds were in disrepair. I did get one or two bug bites on my leg during my stay, although I can definitively blame the hotel bed!
“Inexpensive and of easy access.”
In a good location, with easy access and many restaurants nearby. The room was clean and the rate was good. Unfortunately the building is dated. No elevator to the second floor. The shower leaked water to the floor of the bathroom. Overall it was convenient for an emergency overnight stay.
“Good staff”
It was impossible to contact the front desk by phone before arrival. We tried many times throughout the day.Staffing seems to be inadequate. BUT the staff were VERY helpful once we arrived. The lobby is a bit shabby but the room was excellent. Breakfast was good the one day we had any; it was removed before the time posted in the room. Not the fault of the staff I suspect but of inaccurate signs in the room.
“low budget motel”
This is a very run down hotel/motel that can really use some renovations. The carpeting was stained and old, the whole facility had old musty smell. No elevator available. I stayed at the hotel for three nights and the wireless was not working and the staff could not help me to figure out how to get it working. Ended up using their business computer in the lobby and it was one of the most disgusting keyboards I have ever used in my life, it has not been cleaned in ages. Despite of the outside condition of the motel, the beds were comfortable. Easy acces to restaurants. I was there 10/18 to 10/21 the morning front office manager, a guy, was not friendly at all. There was a female front office staff member who was very helpful and was truly a delight to talk to. For the money I've paid this was acceptable, but if you can spend a tiny bit more money check out the Comfort Inn or other nicer facilities in the vicinity. If you don't plan to rent a car, be ready to spend a great deal of money on taxi's because the bus service around this area sucks.
“Not Impressed.”
Thin walls and breakfast was not great at all. A motel with breakfast at iHop would have been better and cheaper. Don't expect too much from this "inn".
“Barely Adequate”
I was happy to find any hotel on a footbal week-end in Ann Arbor. That being said , there were some disappointments : - The physical condition of the hotel was in rough shape. - The entrance nearest my room was 'closed for repair". - The room had a "stale" odor. - The complimentary breakfast was below standards. I would only go back if it was the only hotel available in the area.
“Would not recommend.”
The room itself was not too bad. However, the rest of the interior of the hotel is in pretty rough shape. This place is in need of an update. Not worth the price I paid for a room.
