“Somewhere to sleep”

Polite, friendly staff and not expensive for a city centre. Small rooms and variable wifi. Disappointing breakfast, pre-cooked and half cold. Down-market restaurant. Fine if you need a reasonably priced bed near this city centre, but not an experience you will be anxious to have repeated.

“Convenient and reasonably priced”

I spent a total of several months in Dundee in 2007 and 2008, but this summer had only a 1-night stop there in my travels. I wanted a hotel for the night that was convenient to the railway station, had free internet, and was reasonably priced, and the Best Western met all three criteria. It's also convenient to downtown shops, and right across the street from Dundee University, so I think it's a good choice in general.
