The staff was great. The food was very good and the variety of foods served was large. The rooms were clean and pleasant. The noise from the bar bled over into my room as a background noise, but was not bad. The location for the hotel can't be beat. All in all, it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay. I would rate it a solid 4 to 4.5 out of 5.
We arrived in Mabalacat after 2AM and spent over an hour hunting for our hotel; even with GPS we couldn't find it until our third try, having nothing but the name and no street address. Locating it even then was tough in the dark, on an extremely busy street, during Easter holiday week, not knowing that we were looking for a tiny sign at the corner of a side street that finally led back into the resort driveway two blocks away. The staff were on alert and very helpful. The room was nice and had a good A/C unit that saved us after a hideous car renting experience in Manila, a horrendous 2-hour drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic, and getting severely lost twice. We enjoyed sight-seeing around Angeles City and Clark Air Base in our air conditioned car. Everywhere outside was hot and very humid which made too much walking in the sun dangerous even with sun screen and a good water supply. Food choices are limited but very inexpensive. Swim in the morning when the water's cooler.
"Close to the heart of the action- walking street"
Awesome place to stay, right in the heart of Angeles City bars, 1 minute walking distance to Walking St. and 5 minutes walking distance to Fields Ave.
Hotel is very modern with a sexy style rooms, beds very comfortable, and the food was delicious.
This was my second stay at the Penthouse Hotel and I would be back next year. ;)
I find the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The door guys are great. They remember me and look after things.
The rooms are new, with nice beds, good showers, working TV, a window, etc. Everything is clean.
The good part of the hotel is that It has a public Casino. Although I did not gamble, I took advantage of the bar. The beers are cheap, like 55 pesos and the food are also relatively cheap, value for money. The staffs and the waitress in the casino are friendly as well. The only setback is the transportation. There is no cab there and you rely on the jeepney which passes by every 30 to 45 min. You can hire the hotel's limo but you pay like 300 to 400 pesos where else the jeepney cost only 13 peso to the main gate(the clubs) or to the mall.
The hotel has quite an intensified gym equipment and a nice fun type of swimming pool.
Overall, the hotel and its surroundings are a safe place as its located in the Air Force City and there are guards stationed every 5 km
