Staying in Amsterdam, the CitizenM is in a perfect location, close to the airport and close to the city center. The layout is unique, and seems a bit cramped at first, but you soon realize it is well thought out and perfect for what you need. And the bed is HUGE! I don't know what mattress brand they use, but I want one. The internet connection was strong and fast, often a problem I have when I stay at other hotels. The breakfast was very well done and one of the best I have had. The only complaint or caution I would have is for very tall or overweight people as the bathroom area could be a bit cramped. Overall, I would overwhelmingly recommend CitizenM Amsterdam to anyone visiting the city.

This hotel is in the perfect location: within walking distance of the Museum district, tram, and Vondel Park but is nestled in a quiet residential street. We had reserved a suite, and paid in advance. When we arrived, the room had an unpleasant odor and we notified the front desk. At first, they tried to get rid of the odor and we were temporarily moved to an "executive" room which was TINY but nice. Our son was due in the next day so this would not work for us, never mind the much higher price we had paid for the suite. After one night, we had to escalate the issue with management. They stepped up, moved us to their other suite and from there on out, we had nothing but excellent service and no complaints with our room other than the pull out sofa bed that our son had to sleep in was extremely uncomfortable. The hotel's main restaurant was closed for renovations and we would have liked to know that in advance.
Also, our room was above the restaurant and at times, the construction noise was very LOUD. They still had room service, a nice breakfast available, and food and drinks in the bar. These were all very good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were pleased with the hotel.
Very clean, comfy beds, good hot shower. The hotel is a little bit out of the way but we enjoyed the walk and for this reason the hotel was nice and quiet. We didn't spend much time there and didn't eat or drink but the bar area has a lovely view onto the canal. When it rained we were lent an umbrella
First of all, excellent staff, very clean and very convenient. The staff was very accommodating and professional as well as friendly. The location was very nice. You walk outside and you are at a tram stop that will take you directly to the center of town in 15-25 minutes depending on where you want to go (however being that close means tram noise periodically all night). There is a bakery around the corner and a grocery store one block way (same side of the street walking in the direction of the tram stops 1 block away). There are some restaurants nearby.
The cleaning staff always did a great job and made sure to get to our room no matter what time we actually ended up leaving it.
My only complaint is that the room was small and cramped. I am sure there are some rooms like in the pictures and some of the pictures do show small rooms however I was surprised when I walked in. The toilet area was very small and there was no tub just a very small shower stall. There was also no small refrigerator or microwave.
I will also say that most of Amsterdam seems to be built that way where the buildings are skinny and rooms are small.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Adelphi Hotel. We were given the quiet room we asked for overlooking the garden and away from the traffic noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and although there were no tea making facilities on our room the free tea, coffee and cake available in the bar 24/7 was a very nice touch. Our only small gripe was that our request to replace a light bulb that was not working in the main light was not attended to which made the lighting rather poor.
Spacious, clean room. Nice big bathroom. Friendly staff. Location was quiet as far as street noise goes. It was a little far away from things, but the tram stop was very close so we just rode it everywhere! My only gripe is that people were so loud when they came in at night and left in the morning. I didn't know there were so many doors to slam, but they slammed them all.

My friend and I had an awesome stay at the Qbic Hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel was located right next to the metro station and tram pickup making it easy to get into the heart of Amsterdam! The room was modern and had a nice big bed. I would definately stay here again!
Xaviera's is a bit left of centre. Do your research as It is not for everyone. Eclectic and a tad cluttered. Remember you are staying in somebody's home, complete with pets. Hosts are very welcoming and we loved our stay. Sorry our stay was short and we crammed in so much as we did not get to lounge about and interact more with Xaviera and Phillipe. They gave us some great tips for dining and getting about. We would stay there again.

This apartment was spacious and clean and quiet. It was modern and well equipped including a dishwasher and washing machine. Plenty of room for a family of six. Free wi-fi was a bonus. Supermarket just down the road made self-catering very simple. Coffee and tea was provided and enough to last our stay. Plenty of hot water too. A member of staff met us on arrival and talked us through everything. We were also able to pay by credit card there which was handy. Much more convenient than having to go to a central office. Check-out was very straight forward too. The apartment was a bit out of the centre but easily accessible by trams 16 or 24. A great base to explore the city from.
