“amsterdam”
class very good for price
“Great Staff! Nice modern rooms.”
Came here for a one night stay. We chose the hotel because of the location and the reviews on Tripadvisor. It's almost close to everything you need to see for a quick stay in Amsterdam. Good restaurants around the hotel too. Reception staff were VERY helpful and very accommodating. Car park was just across the road. Most expensive in Europe: 50euros for overnight parking. The Room was just right. A bit tight but space was well used. Only dislike I have was we wanted a double bed. What they have is twin beds put together. Very uncomfortable if you're a couple sleeping together. Overall though I LOVED it.
“Very nice!”
I liked hotel a lot, will definitely stay again. The only weird thing, not bad, just weird, was that the door to the bathroom is glass. I mean it's frosted, like some shower doors are, but I've never seen a glass door between bathroom and bedroom before. As I was with my partner, it didn't matter, but if you are staying with a friend it could be a bit awkward.
“second time staying at this hotel, great location!”
My partner and I stayed in Westcord for the second time last week, the staff are very pleasent and helpful and the cleaners are very good at ensuring you have everything you need for your room. great location, would go back again tommorow if i could!
“Very convenient location”
Only about 10 minutes walk from the Central Station! The reception staff here were really great and the rooms were comfortable and clean and the location is really good especially if you get to grips with the tram system as there is a tram stop almost directly outside the hotel. However, don't take your mother down the side alleys or that bit of Spuistraat (the road at the back) where it all becomes a bit red light. Also, I know some of the reviewers have worried about the bathrooms being "see through" - they're not really - and as long as you're with your partner (or someone you know quite well) this isn't really an issue. The walls are glass but shaded out discreetly. We didn't have breakfast but there are plenty of places locally for "ontbijt" and all seemed quite reasonable. A very pleasant stay.
“Perfection in a tiny package”
Though the room was small, it and the hotel provided everything I needed: a clean comfortable bed and bedding, sparkling clean shower room, desk, WiFi internet (not included -- paid for via T-Mobile HotSpot), tea/coffee maker, television, clothesrack and safe. Everything was new, clean, and in working order. The location was excellent at 10 minutes' walk from the central train station and 5 minutes from a good supermarket.
“A Good Base to see Amsterdam”
This hotel is convenient for the Central Station and central Amsterdam. It is clean and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was small so I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone who wanted to spend a lot of time in it. Unusual features in the room might put some people off. The bed for example faced the wall (which had a television on it) instead of backing on to it and the wall was carpeted. The furniture was clear, either plastic or glass but very comfortable. The shower room walls were see through, but partly opaque to preserve some modesty. The glass sink did get a bit of a mess after just one use. Internet access available in room and in the front hall. Useful for printing boarding passes.
“Westcord City Centre - Fantastic Value”
Have stayed at this hotel twice before this trip. when it used to be the Tulip Inn. Was impressed last two times and still impressed now. Staff were courtious and helpfull. Rooms and public areas clean and tidy. Rooms are usual size for European standards but good none the less. Had a room on the inside of the hotel as l wanted peace and quiet as the rooms last time faced onto the street, which wasnt overly loud but you could still hear the trams etc. Cant fault location, close to the centre of everything and spiot for choice for bars, restaurants and coffeshops. Would def recommend this hotel.
“Very pleased”
This was our first trip to Amsterdam and we found the hotel easily. The hotel was in a good spot within walking distance of most sights - although there was a tram stop just outside the hotel! Looking forward to going back!
“Cleanest and most contemporary 3* we have ever been to”
Hotel and location was very good. Room was clean. The only issue was the en-suite with transparent glass walls! It is nice as a decoration idea, but not very practical when you are using the toilet. Also the breakfast could have been cheaper. Other than that everything was very good. Amsterdam is a beautiful city except the Red-light district.

Dam Square - Central Station, Amsterdam, Netherlands: The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century).
